lich durch und heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen
auf.
1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der PIR-Bewegungsmelder IF-15 (passiv infrarot) ist spe-
ziell fu ̈ r den Einsatz in Alarm- und Video-Überwachungs-
anlagen als Vorhangmelder zur Überwachung von Fens-
tern und Türen konzipiert. Bei einer erkannten Bewegung
öffnet der Alarmkontakt. Zum Schutz des Melders dient
der Sabotagekontakt (5), der beim Entfernen des Melders
vom Montageort oder beim Öffnen des Gehäuses einen
Alarm u ̈ ber die Alarmzentrale auslöst.
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien der
EU und ist deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich und

schu ̈tzen Sie es vor Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit
und Hitze (zulässige Einsatztemperatur 5 – 40 °C).
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, wei-

ches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch installiert oder
G
nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung fu ̈ r da-
raus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie fu ̈ r das Gerät u ̈ bernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerech-
ten Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Montage
Die Montagehöhe sollte maximal 2,5 m betragen.

Der Montageort sollte frei von Erschütterungen, direkter

Sonneneinstrahlung und Zugluft sein und sich nicht in
der Nähe von Wärmequellen (z. B. Heizung) befinden.

Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to
the installation and keep them for later use.
1 Applications
The PIR motion detector IF-15 (passive infrared) has
especially been designed for applications in alarm and
video surveillance systems as a curtain detector for the sur-
veillance of windows and doors. With a recognized move-
ment the alarm contact is opened. The detector is secured
by the anti-tamper contact (5) which triggers an alarm via
the alarm control panel when the detector is removed from
the mounting place or when the housing is opened.
2 Important Notes
The unit corresponds to all required directives of the EU
and is therefore marked with .
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against

splash water, high air humidity, and heat (admissible am-
bient temperature range 5 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use chem-

icals or water.
No guarantee claims for the detector and no liability for
G
any resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the detector is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly installed, or
not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.
3 Mounting
The mounting height should be 2.5 m as a maximum.

The mounting place should be free from vibrations, di-

rect sunlight, and draught and not be close to heat
sources (e. g. radiators).
Choose the mounting place so that the person trigger-

ing alarm is moving at right angles to the lens (2).

Die Montagestelle so wählen, dass sich die Alarm aus-

lösende Person quer zum Sensor (2) bewegt.
Der Melder ist für Orte mit hohem Insektenvorkommen
G
ungeeignet.
1) Die Schraube (3) entfernen und das Gehäuse öffnen.
2) Die Anschlusskabel durch die Kabelöffnung in der
Gehäuserückseite fu ̈ hren und die Gehäuseru ̈ ckseite
an der Wand oder Decke festschrauben. Dabei darauf
achten, dass sich hinter der länglichen Öffnung für den
Schalthebel des Sabotagekontakts (5) kein Hohlraum
befindet, damit der Kontakt im montierten Zustand
geschlossen ist.
4 Anschluss an die Alarmzentrale
1) Zuerst die Alarmzentrale außer Betrieb setzen, damit
kein Alarm ausgelöst werden kann. Dann den Melder
u ̈ ber die Schraubklemmen (7) anschließen:
2) Die beiden Kontakte TAMPER in die Sabotageschleife
der Alarmzentrale schalten (mit weiteren Sabotage-
kontakten in Reihe).
3) Die beiden Kontakte ALARM fu ̈ r die Alarmschleife mit
den entsprechenden Anschlu ̈ ssen der Alarmzentrale
verbinden.
4) Die Spannungsversorgung (9 – 14,5 V) an die Kontakte
SUPPLY anschließen, aber noch ausgeschaltet lassen.
5) Um zu verhindern, dass Unbefugte, wenn die Alarman-
lage nicht scharf geschaltet ist, den Überwachungsbe-
reich ausspionieren, kann nach dem Funktionstest die
Bewegungserkennung durch Anlegen der positiven
Betriebsspannung an die Klemme B/S abgeschaltet
werden. Soll nur die Kontroll-LED (1) deaktiviert wer-
den, der Alarmkontakt bei Bewegungserkennung aber
öffnen, die Steckbru ̈ cke LED (4) nach dem Funktions-
test nur auf einen der beiden Pins stecken.
Hinweis: Die Anschlussklemmen CHIME sind bei diesem
Modell ohne Funktion.
The detector is not suitable for places frequented by a

high number of insects.
1) Remove the screw (3) and open the housing.
2) Lead the connection cables through the cable inlet on
the rear side of the housing and screw the rear side of
the housing to the wall or ceiling. Pay attention that
there is no space behind the long opening for the
switch lever of the anti-tamper contact (5) so that the
contact is closed when mounted.
4 Connection to the Alarm Control Panel
1) First set the alarm control panel out of operation so that
no alarm can be triggered. Then connect the detector
via the screw terminals (7):
2) Connect the two contacts TAMPER to the anti-tamper
loop of the alarm control panel (in series with further
anti-tamper contacts).
3) Connect the two contacts ALARM for the alarm loop to
the corresponding connections of the alarm control
panel.
4) Connect the voltage supply (9 – 14.5 V) to the contacts
SUPPLY but do not switch it on for the time being.
5) To prevent unauthorized persons from spying out the
surveillance area when the alarm system is not acti-
vated, the movement recognition may be switched off
after the functional test by applying the positive operat-
ing voltage at the terminal B/S. To deactivate only the
indicating LED (1), but to open the alarm contact in
case of movement recognition, place the jumper LED
(4) only on one of the two pins after the functional test.
Note: The terminals CHIME have no function for this
model.
5 Adjustments and Functional Test
1) With the control SENS. (6) the sensitivity and thus the
range can be adjusted. To keep the number of false
alarms low, turn the control to the left stop for the time
being and only turn it up during the functional test as far
as it is required for the surveillance area.

5 Einstellungen und Funktionstest
1) Mit dem Regler SENS. (6) kann die Empfindlichkeit und
damit die Reichweite eingestellt werden. Um Fehlalarme
gering zu halten, den Regler zunächst an den Linksan-
schlag drehen und beim Funktionstest nur so weit auf-
drehen, wie es der Überwachungsbereich erfordert.
2) Zur Funktionskontrolle das Gehäuse schließen und die
Stromversorgung einschalten. Nach ca. 15 s erlischt
die LED (1) und der Melder ist betriebsbereit.
3) Den Überwachungsbereich in verschiedenen Richtun-
gen durchqueren und dabei die LED beobachten, die
bei einer erkannten Bewegung aufleuchtet.
4) Abschließend einen Funktionstest mit scharf geschal-
teter Alarmzentrale durchfu ̈ hren.

2) For a functional check, close the housing and switch on
the power supply. After approx. 15 s the LED (1) will be
extinguished and the detector is ready for operation.
3) Walk across the surveillance area in different directions
while observing the LED which lights up with a recog-
nized movement.
4) To finish, perform a functional test with activated alarm
control panel.
