3 Safety information

3.1 Symbol explanation

3.2 Fire hazard

Observe the relevant regulations concerning fire safety measures. In the event of fire, the
drive unit must be disconnected from the electrical mains by removing the plug. Therefore,
the mains plug must be accessible at all times during operation, so that it can be easily
and quickly removed from the socket in cases of emergency.

3.3 Danger for children

Keep packaging and fitting material out of your
children's reach. Among other things, these materials
pose a danger of asphyxiation or danger of swal-
lowing small parts.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years
and over and by persons with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge, provided that they are given supervision
or instruction concerning the safe use of the appli-
ance and the potential hazards that may result from
improper use. Children are not allowed to play with
the appliance. Children are not allowed to perform
cleaning and user maintenance operations without
supervision.

3.4 Electrical hazard

Do not open the electrical drive unit under any cir-
cumstances. Ensure that the electric cable is safely
routed. If necessary, use additional protective tubing
or insulated spacers. Avoid crimping and abrasion of
the cables. Ensure that the cable cannot be trodden
