Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Dieses Produkt dient zum Anschluss eines Geräts mit RS485-Schnittstelle an einen USB-Port eines PCs.
Das Produkt entspricht den gesetzlichen, nationalen und europäischen Anforderungen. Alle enthaltenen Fir-
mennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen Inhaber. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Bedienungsanleitung verursacht werden,

Anschluss und Treiber-Installation

Zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung dieser Bedienungsanleitung befanden sich alle Treiber im Verzeich-
nis „Y-1081 USB TO RS485" der mitgelieferten CD (in ungepackter Form).
Bei neueren Versionen der Treiber-CD könnte sich dies evtl. ändern.
• Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres PCs ein.
• Stecken Sie den USB-Stecker des USB-RS485-Kabels in einen USB-Port Ihres Computers.
• Windows erkennt neue Hardware und installiert die benötigten Treiber von der CD.

Sollte sich der Treiber (z.B. bei neueren Versionen der Treiber-CD) nicht in ungepackter Form
auf der CD befi nden, so muss z.B. zuerst die Installationssoftware der CD gestartet werden.
• Der 9polige SubD-Stecker des Adapters kann jetzt mit einem entsprechenden RS485-Port eines Geräts
verbunden werden.
RS485-Adapter mit Schraubklemmen
Im Lieferumfang befi ndet sich ein kleiner Adapter mit 4 Schraubklem-
men. Dieser kann zur einfachen Verkabelung einer RS485-Verbindung
verwendet werden.
Beachten Sie für die Belegung der Schraubklemmen die Beschriftung
auf der Platine bzw. die nebenstehende Abbildung.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen
Bestimmungen.

Intended Use
This product is used for the connection of a device with RS485 interface to a USB port of a PC.

Safety Instructions
Connection and Driver Installation

• Place the installation CD supplied in the appropriate disc drive of your PC.
• Connect the USB plug of the USB RS485 cable to a USB port of your computer.
• Windows recognises the new hardware and installs the required drivers from the CD.

• The 9-pole SubD plug of the adaptor can now be connected to a corresponding RS485 port of a device.
RS485 adaptor with screw terminals
The delivery includes a small adaptor with 4 screw terminals. It can be
used for a simple cabling of a RS485 connection.
For the confi guration of the screw terminals pay attention to the label-
ling on the PCB and the illustration on the right.

USB TO RS485" of the CD supplied (in unpacked format).
With newer versions of the driver CD this might be different.
Should the driver on the CD not be in an unpacked format (e.g. as might be the case with newer
versions of the driver CD), you have to start e. g. the installation software of the CD fi rst.
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
