 Battery type
The charger can charge NiMH/NiCd/LiPo/LiFe batteries.
It is very important to select the correct battery type to
avoid accidents!
 Number of cells
The charger can charge up to 8 NiMH/NiCd and up to
4 LiPo/LiFe cells. It is very important to set the correct
number of cells to avoid accidents!
 Battery capacity
By adjusting the battery capacity, the charger automatically
adjusts the charge current to 1C (one time the battery ca-
pacity). Please make sure that you set the correct capacity
in mAh as indicated on the battery you with to charge.
Note: as an extra safety measure, when charging NiMH/
NiCd batteries, the charge will stop when the charged mAh
counter reaches the preset value.
 Charge current
Charge current can be adjusted in 0.1A steps up to 6A. The
standard charge current is 1C, which means one time the
battery capacity (4000mAh = 4A). The charge current is
auto adjusted when you adjust the battery capacity, if you
are not familiar with charging batteries; we recommend
that you do not alter this setting (as long as you have set
the correct battery capacity). It is very important to set the
proper charge current to avoid accidents!

CHARGING
 Charging NiMH/NiCd batteries
 Connect the battery to the charger using the charge
lead connectors.
 Press the ENTER key until the fans start spinning, the
charge has started.
 Once the charge is completed, press ENTER to display
the final charge data.
 Press ENTER to return to the main screen.
 Disconnect the battery.
 Charging LiPo/LiFe batteries
The charger can charge LiPo/LiFe batteries with or without
balancing. We recommended to always use balancing as
it is the safest charge mode. When using balancing, the
charger can detect certain defects with the individual cells
and adjust/stop the charge accordingly. Without balancing
this is not possible and may result in overcharged cells
which could cause accidents. Depending on the cells
unbalance and battery status, the charge will take more
or less time to complete.
WARNING! If you decide to charge without balancing,
make sure you understand the extra risks involved. Char-
ging without balancing increases the risk of personal injury
or damage to property.
