INTENDED USE
The power adapter serves as voltage supply for low-voltage devices with matching AC sockets. It transforms
the power from mains socket (230V~ / 50Hz) into a low AC voltage. Input and output voltage are galvanically
separated. The current consumption of the connecting load must not exceed 2000mA. Only a regular mains
socket (230V~/50Hz) can be used as the voltage supply source.
Exceeding the voltage leads to an overload of the power pack; the output is irreversibly cut off when
overloading the power pack, e.g. through short circuit or excess permanent power draw. This is not covered
by the guarantee/warranty.
This product fulfils European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
CE conformity has been verified and the relevant statements and documents have been deposited at
the manufacturer.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to
associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly
and keep them for further reference.

Product safety
When used in conjunction with other devices, observe the operating instructions and safety
notices of connected devices.
The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.
The product must not be exposed it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration,
or dampness.
The power adapter must always be inserted without force. Make sure that the plug is tightly
connected to the mains socket.
The power adapter must be disconnected by using the grip areas. Never pull the output cable
to withdraw the power adapter from mains socket.
If there is reason to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, put the device out of
operation and secure it against unintended operation. Safe operation is no longer possible if:
-
the device shows visible damages,
-
the device no longer works,
-
the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time and
-
the device was subject to considerable transport stress.
Miscellaneous
Repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.
If you have queries about handling the device, that are not answered in this operating
instruction, our technical support is available under the following address and telephone

4.
oPERATIoN
Make sure to observe the magnitude of the output voltage. Excessive voltage input leads
to the destruction of the connected electrical appliance. Should you not be certain, contact
Version 04/09
a specialist.
Make sure the power consumption of the connected electrical load is lower than the
maximum power output for the power adapter. otherwise, the power adapter will be
overloaded.
1.
Switch off the to be connected load before connecting it to the power adapter.
2.
Connect the low-voltage plug of the power adapter to the power receptacle of the connecting load.
Connect the power adapter to a mains socket. The red LED will light up to indicate the power adapter is
in operation.
To remove the connecting load:
1.
Switch off the connecting load first.
2.
Remove the power adapter from the mains socket.
3.
Detach the low voltage plug from the connecting load.
5.
MAINTENANCE
Check the product and the power cable for damage before each use. When you notice damage do not use this
product any more. Disconnect it from the mains voltage. Take this product to a repair shop or dispose of it in
an environmentally friendly manner.
When cleaning, the power adapter must be disconnected from mains socket.
Only use dry and soft cloth to clear the housing of the power adapter. Do not use abrasive or solvents!
6.
TRoUBLESHooTING
In purchasing the power adapter, you have acquired a reliable, state-of-the-art product. Problems and
malfunctions may, however, still arise.
For this reason, the following is a description of how you can eliminate possible malfunctions yourself.
observe the safety instructions in all cases.
Error
The power indicator does
not light up.
Repairs other than those just described should only be performed by an authorised
specialist.
7.
