Product overview

C1
Door/window contact transmitter
C2
Magnet
C3
Status LED (red)
LED flashes once long (for approx. 3 seconds) - the door or window has been opened
or closed and the transmitter sends a signal to the gateway
Blue LED flashes quickly - indicates that the battery is empty and needs to be replaced
C4
Notched triangle - indicates the side on which the magnet must later be located
C5
Upper and lower slots - for opening the transmitter housing
C6
Sabotage switch - it is located inside the transmitter and is closed as long as the hous-
ing is closed; when the cover is removed, the transmitter sends a signal to the gateway
Inserting and replacing the battery
No matter whether you use the battery during the first start-up or want to change it
later, the procedure is always the same.
• The first thing you need to do is to open the housing of the transmitter (C1).
To do this, drive it (e.g. with a suitable slotted screwdriver) successively up and down into the
small slot of the housing (C5) and carefully pry it open.
You can then pull off the cover with a little force. It is only held left and right.
• Carefully remove the circuit board from the housing. Make sure that the spring attached to the
sabotage switch (C6) does not fly out and get lost.
• Depending on whether you are using the device for the first time or just want to change the
battery, proceed as follows:
When using the product for the first time and if the battery is packaged and comes complete
with the product, insert the battery (CR 2450 type) between the contact surfaces on the cir-
cuit board, observing the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-; clip = plus/+ and circuit board
contact = minus/-).
If the battery is already inserted, it is secured with a plastic strip. Pull out the strip.
If you want to change the battery, first pull the old battery out between the poles and then in-
sert the new battery (CR 2450 type) between the contact surfaces on the circuit board, obser-
ving the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-; clip = plus/+ and circuit board contact = minus/-).
Once you have inserted the battery into the circuit board, the LED (C3) flashes
three times. It then lights up permanently, because the sabotage switch (C6) is not
pressed through the housing cover and thus closed.
• Carefully reinsert the circuit board with the soldered side into the housing. The circuit board
must go smoothly into the housing. If this is not the case, turn the housing by 180°. Make
sure again that the spring attached to the sabotage switch (C6) does not fly out and get lost.
• Finally, replace the cover and press it tight. The two pins on the cover must point to the two
crosses on the circuit board.

Installation

Do not mount the door/window contact transmitter (C1) and magnet (C2) in the area
of metal or electrical wiring.
The magnet (C2) must be mounted at the same height as the transmitter (C1). For
this purpose, 3 spacers are included, which can also be combined. Please note the
table after installation.
• Glue the door/window contact transmitter (C1) to the edge of
the desired door or window.
Before doing this, degrease the place of attachment of the
transmitter (C1).
Align the transmitter (C1) so that the side with the notched
triangle faces outwards (on the side where the magnet (C2)
will later be located). Please refer to the picture.
• Now glue the magnet (C2) to the frame of the door or window
where you have previ-ously attached the transmitter (C1). It
should be attached as far inside as possible.
With the door/window closed, the distance between the magnet (C2) and the trans-
mitter (C1) must not exceed 1 cm.
Before doing this, degrease the gluing spot again.

Gateway configuration and setup
More information about gateway configuration and setup in combination with the
mobile app can be found in the operating instructions for the app.
Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these could damage the housing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
a) Product
Electrical and electronic devices must not be discarded with domestic waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries/rechargeable batteries
You are required by law to return all used batteries. They must not be placed in household
waste.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in
batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable)
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our
stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
