Intended Use

 The air chipping hammer has been exclusively designed for chiselling
and chipping stone, concrete and masonry.
 The intended use also includes an operation following the operating
instructions.
 Any use beyond these parameters (different media, applying force) or
any changes (reconstruction, no original accessory) can lead to serious
risks and is regarded as use that is contrary to the intended purpose.

Before first Use

Unpack the air hammer set and check all parts for any damage in transit.
Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of reach of children.
Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children.

Operation

The air chipping hammer is equipped with an R ¼" air inlet (5). For your
own safety it is not recommended to use a permanent connection between
the air chipping hammer and the air hose, but use the plug nipple (7)
instead.
1. Seal the end of the plug nipple with Teflon tape before you screw it
onto the air connection of the air chipping hammer.
The chipping hammer has to be provided with lubricating oil during
operation. Before each use add oil through the air inlet (5) or use an oil-
fog lubricator. Also read the chapter "Lubrication".
2. Use a flexible hose to connect the air hammer to the compressor. Set
up a pressure of approx. 6 bar on the compressor. Check all air connec-
tions for leakages.
3. Switch off the compressor again.
4. Insert the chipping chisel (8 – 12) into the hexagonal chuck.
5. Then slide the retaining spring (2) over the chisel and screw it down
onto the threat (3) of the chipping hammer. Screw the spring as far as it
will go. The spring is exposed to severe stress during operation. Check
it regularly for cracks and damage and replace if necessary.
6. Make sure the flow regulator is unscrewed.
