Attention
1. The signal conditioner must be installed in the safe
area.
2. On the non-intrinsically safe side of the signal
conditioner only such components may be used
which internal voltage does not exceed 250V.
3. The intrinsically safe circuit is galvanically
connected with the protective ground. The non-
intrinsically safe circuits is isolated.
4. The earth contact of the signal conditioner has to be
wired up with the corresponding protective ground
connectors in the hazardous area to provide potential
equalization.
5. The maximum ambient temperature is 40°C.
NOTE
Wrong polarisation or overvoltage will destroy the
isolation module! The signal conditioners input is
protected with a fuse.

Calibration instruction
1. Wire up amp-meter as illustrated above.
2. Move float to it's maximum position. Adjust 20mA-
potentiometer untill amp-meter reads 20 mA.
3. Descend the float to it's lowest position. Adjust 4mA with
the 4mA-potentiometer.
Repeat steps 2. and 3. As required since the two
4.
adjustments may influence each other.
