GALESKI WERKZEUGE
connected to main power supply - red opera-
tion-light comes on.
(b) Operate "TEST"-key - personal safety
device switches off, red operation-light
comes off.
(c) After renewed switching on, the machine
should now be operating.
(d) Should the personal safety switch not
come on in this routine, or should it switch
off repeatedly when machine is in operation,
the whole combination of devices must be
checked.
The voltage shown on the machine-label
must correspond with your local power sup-
ply.
The jig-saw must be switched off when
connecting it to the main power supply!
To mount a saw-blade, open the screw on
the tappet. Insert the saw-blade into the tap-
pet up to the set-off at the end and use the
pin-type wrench (SW 5) to tighten the screw.
The saw-blade should be positioned straight
and centered in the guide, to sit between the
rinsing nozzles.
The diamond-tipped saw-blades, used for
cutting marble and granite, must always be
water-cooled and rinsed in order to remove
cutting dust. To achieve this the machine is
equipped with a precisely adjustable cooling
and washing device. Connect the water by
means of the fast-to-mount coupling. The
(admission-) water pressure should be ap-
prox. 3 bar.
NEVER cut without water-cooling!
During operation, some of the cooling air
from the electric motor blows the cooling
water and sawdust away in front of the saw-
blade. The guide-line is thus always visible.
The material thicknesses indicated for each
saw-blade must always be followed exactly
(see Technical Data). Liability for damage
caused by working on slabs of inappropriate
thickness is excluded from our warranty.
5.1 Handling:
1. Position the machine at cutting point only
when in operation (running) and with water-
cooling on!

2. When cutting curves (round passages),
turning (curving) and feed (advancing) are to
be carried out at the same time! Tight curves
can be cut easier with worn-out blades. New
blades can be rounded slighlty in the back
for this purpose.
3. The jig-saw must not be stored on the felt-
lining, but laid tilted to the back!
4. If the cut has to be interrupted and the
blade has to be taken out of the slab, the cut
should first be carefully widened at the cur-
rent position (approx. 15 mm backwards and
parallel) in order not to damage the saw-
blade! Never remove machine from slab
while running!
5. After finishing the job, clean the felt pad
on the underside of the base plate with com-
pressed air.
5.2 Replacing Saw-Blades and Saw-
Blade Guides:
The saw-blade is to be replaced as
described above. When the guide is worn
through use, it should also be replaced. To
do this, loosen screw and exchange guide.
When mounting the new guide, make sure of
proper position and tighten screw well.
We do not accept liability for any damage
caused by inappropriate handling!
6. Maintenance, Lubrication,
Repairs and Spare Parts
Before carrying out any work at all on the jig-
saw, disconnect plug from power supply!
Check power cord (cable) at regular intervals
to detect possible damage.
Clean the motor regularly with dry
compressed air to ensure that cooling air
nozzles remain clean and unblocked.
The transmission grease is to be changed
every 200 working hours. The jig-saw is to
have a general overhaul after 800 working
hours. At the latest after 6 month of opera-
tion, the jig-saw has to be cleaned thorough-
ly and serviced.
Replace the carbon brushes once they have
worn down to a length of approx. 7 mm.
Have this done and checked by a qualified
