INSTALLATION MANUAL
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The chime may be used as: a doorbell, an internal
paging device or a personal alarm device. Doorbell
installation is not required. The chime is supplied
directly from a 230 V power mains socket and the
push buttons are battery-powered. The 433 MHz
frequency is used for transmitting and receiving
the signal. The maximum RF transmission range is
about 150 m in open areas. You can choose from
55 different chime tones and melodies. The chime is
also equipped with optical signalling, which can be
very useful, e.g., for people with impaired hearing.
The chime sound can be muted (leaving the optical
chime indication on) e.g. not to disturb babies.
A maximum of 3 control buttons can be assigned
to a single chime. A different melody can be assigned
to each button (identification of the source of call).
2. REMOTE CONTROL REGISTRATION
AND MELODY SELECTION
The chime is by default supplied with a push button
already programmed to work with the chime and set
at the first sound tone. To change the melody the
chime plays after pushing a transmitter push button,
first select the wanted melody by pressing "forward"
(2) and "back" (3) buttons. Then it is necessary
to register the transmitter with the chime. This is
done by holding the volume adjustment button (1)
down for 5 seconds until the chime gives a single
beep and a flash, which signal switching into the
programming mode. From this moment you have
8 seconds for pressing the remote-control push
button (4) that you wish to register. When you press
the push button the chime will give 2 single beeps
and 2 flashes confirming correct remote-control
registration and the end of the melody setting and
remote-control registration procedure
Repeat the procedure to program another push button
and set a specific sound tone. A different melody can
be set for each registered push button. A maximum
of 3 push buttons can be linked to a single chime.
3. VOLUME LEVEL CONTROL
Set the volume level by pressing the (1) button.
From maximum volume level to mute.
4. REPLACING THE PUSH BUTTON
BATTERY
To replace the battery in the transmitter, open the
casing by gently levering the latch in the bottom part
of the casing using, e.g. the included screwdriver.
