Intended use
The product is inserted between the receiver and the steering servo or drive/control throttle servo and
activated different light functions (indicators, brake lights, reverse lights, anti-collision lights) depending on
the available control impulses.
This product complies with the applicable national and European specifications. Any company or product

Safety instructions
The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance
with the operating instructions. Liability for any and all consequential damage is
excluded!
We do not assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper use or the failure to observe the safety instructions! In such cases the
guarantee is voided.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and has no place in the hands of children.
• You may only connect the device when the drive control or the receiver power supply is turned off.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children!

Connection and installation
The light unit is inserted between the receiver and the drive control/servo. Please observe the correct
assignment of the cable colours; polarity of the two terminal strips see imprint on the circuit board or the
illustration on the right.

Brown/black cable:

The electronics on the light unit evaluate the control signals sent from the receiver to the drive control or
the servos and then activates the corresponding LEDs.
Depending on the vehicle or the body, the individual light modules must be installed in suitable
places.
We recommend performing a function test prior to permanent installation to ensure that all
modules are later on mounted in the right position (front/rear, left/right).
The DIP switch 1 serves as reserve switch for the indicator function (e.g. if the vehicle moves
to the left but the right indicator is activated).
The DIP switch 2 is the reserve switch for the headlights and the taillights, e.g. if the brake lights
light up when driving forwards.
Attention!
During installation and the subsequent function test, place the model car in such a way that
the drive wheels do not make contact with the ground or other objects. Do not touch the drive
mechanism, do not block it. Risk of injury!
Install all cables in the vehicle in such a way that these cannot protrude any moving parts of
the vehicle. Also keep a sufficient distance to hot parts (motor, drive control).
Proceed as follows for connection:
• Turn the drive control and/or the receiver power supply off, disconnect the battery from the vehicle, and
then turn off the transmitter.
• Connect the plug of the steering servo to the terminal strip (8), observe the right polarity.
• Connect the plug of the drive control/throttle servo with the terminal strip (9), and also observe the correct
polarity here.
• Connect the JR plugs (10) and (11) with the receiver. For the correct polarity of the plugs, observe the
imprint on the receiver or its operating instructions.
• Turn your transmitter on, connect the battery to the vehicle and turn on the drive control and/or the
receiver's power supply.
• Now test the LED functions.
Description of the function elements:
1
module for right rear (1x yellow LED for
indicator, 1x red LED for taillight/brake light)
2
modules for left rear (1x yellow LED for
indicator, 1x red LED for taillight/brake light)
3
two white LEDs for reverse lights
4
module for right front (1x yellow LED for
indicator, 1x white LED for front lights)
5
module for left front (1x yellow LED for
indicator, 1x white LED for front lights)
6
Piezo buzzer (for beeps when driving
backwards)
7
DIP switch
Switch „1" = reverse switch for the indicator
function (left/right interchange)
Switch „2" = reverse switch for front lights/
taillights)
8
3-pole terminal strip for channel 1 (lettering
on the circuit board „CH1" and „ST"); for
steering servo
9
3-pole terminal strip for channel 2 (lettering
on the circuit board „CH2" and „TH"); for
drive control/throttle servo
10 JR plugs for channel 1 (imprint „ST");
connect these with the receiver (steering
function)
11 JR plugs for channel 2 (imprint „TH");
connect these with the receiver (drive
function)
The following LED functions exist:
• The anti-collision blinker is activated automatically in case of neutral position on the transmitter or in case
of slow forward/reverse drive (all 4 yellow LEDs blink).
• When the vehicle is standing (neutral position), the front lights switch to half the brightness after a few
seconds (parking light). After another few seconds, the front lights and the red taillight are turned off
altogether (only the anti-collision light function is still active).
• When driving forward, the two front lights (white LEDs) and the taillight (red, half brightness) are lit.
• At maximum forward speed (full throttle forwards) both front lights blink.
• If you steer to the left of the right while driving forwards or backwards, the left or the two right yellow LEDs
blink (in case of wrong blinking direction, switch DIP switch 1).
• When braking, the red LEDs of the taillight light up at full force (should this be the case when driving
backwards, move DIP switch 2 to the other position).
• When driving backwards, the two reverse lights (white LEDs) light up; in addition, the Piezo buzzer emits
beeps

Connections for position lights
There is an additional 2-pole socket on each of the four modules (1, 2, 4, 5). You can connect
one LED each for a side position light to this (not part of the delivery).
A corresponding protective resistor is already integrated in the board.
Observe the correct polarity of the LEDs, for the assignment of the sockets see illustration
on the right.
