Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt wird an einen Displayport einer Grafi kkarte angeschlossen. Dort wandelt es das
digitale Videosignal in ein analoges VGA-kompatibles Videosignal um, damit ein herkömm-
licher VGA-Monitor betrieben werden kann.
Die Stromversorgung erfolgt über den Displayport.
Dieses Produkt erfüllt die gesetzlichen, nationalen und europäischen Anforderungen. Alle ent-
haltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen Inhaber.

Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme
• Schalten Sie den Computer und den Monitor aus.
• Stecken Sie den Displayportstecker des Adapters in einen Displayport der Grafi kkarte Ihres
Computers.
Zwei kleine Metallhaken verriegeln den Displayportstecker des Adapters in der
Grafi kkarte.
Wenn Sie den Displayportstecker irgendwann wieder vom Displayport der Grafi k-
karte herausziehen wollen, so halten Sie die Entriegelungstaste auf dem Display-
portstecker gedrückt und ziehen Sie ihn dann aus dem Displayport der Grafi kkarte
heraus.
Wenden Sie beim Herausziehen keine Gewalt an, da andernfalls sowohl der
Displayportstecker des Adapters als auch der Displayport der Grafi kkarte beschä-
digt wird, Verlust von Gewährleistung/Garantie!
• Verbinden Sie den VGA-Anschlussstecker Ihres Monitors mit der 15poligen VGA-Buchse
des Adapters. Schrauben Sie den Stecker an der Buchse fest.
• Schalten Sie den Monitor und den Computer ein.
• Nach kurzer Zeit sollte ein Bild auf dem angeschlossenen VGA-Monitor erscheinen.
Wenn der Displayport als zweiter Monitoranschluss dient, so dauert es möglicherweise bis
zum vollständigen Start des Betriebssystems, bis ein Bild erscheint.
War z.B. noch nie ein zweiter Monitor bei Windows angeschlossen, so ist dieser zunächst
zu konfi gurieren. Klicken Sie dazu einfach auf eine freie Stelle des Windows-Desktops und
stellen Sie die Eigenschaften der Displayanzeige richtig ein (z.B. ob der zweite Monitor links
oder rechts vom ersten Monitor steht usw.).
Wichtig!
Stellen Sie im Betriebssystem niemals eine höhere Aufl ösung ein als der ange-
schlossene VGA-Monitor unterstützt. Andernfalls kann der VGA-Monitor beschädigt
werden! Beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung zu Ihrem VGA-Monitor.
Beispiel: Wenn der VGA-Monitor eine Aufl ösung von 1280 x 1024 unterstützt, so
dürfen Sie keine höhere Aufl ösung (z.B. 1600 x 1200) einstellen.
• Es ist kein Treiber erforderlich, da die Signalwandlung zwischen dem digitalen Displayport-
Signal und dem analogen VGA-Signal per Hardware vorgenommen wird.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden
gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.

Intended Use
The product is connected to a display port of a graphics card. There, it converts the digital video
signal into an analogue VGA-compatible video signal so that a conventional VGA monitor can
be operated.
The power is supplied via the display port.

Connection and Getting Started
• Turn off the computer and the monitor.
• Plug the adaptor's display port connector into a display port on your computer's graphics
card.
Two small metal hooks lock the adaptor's display port connector in the graphics
card.
If you wish to remove the display port's connector from the display port on the graph-
ics card again, hold down the unlock button on the display port connector and then
remove it from the graphics card's display port.
Do not apply any force when removing the connector; otherwise, both the adaptor's
display port connector and the display port on the graphics card will be damaged,
loss of warranty!
• Connect the VGA connector from your monitor to the adaptor's 15-pin VGA socket. Screw the
connector tightly to the socket.
• Switch on the monitor and then the computer.
• After a short while, a picture should appear on the connected VGA monitor.
If the display port is used as a second monitor connection, the picture might appear only after
the operating system has fi nished booting.
For example, if you are using Windows and you have never connected a second monitor
before, this monitor must be confi gured fi rst. For this purpose, click on an empty space on
the Windows desktop and set the properties for the display correctly (e.g. whether the second
monitor is located to left or right of the fi rst monitor and so on).
Important!
Never set a resolution in the operating system that is higher than the one supported
by the connected VGA monitor. Otherwise, the VGA monitor may be damaged!
Please consult the operating instructions for your VGA monitor.
Example: If the VGA monitor supports a resolution of 1280 x 1024, you must not set
a higher resolution (e.g. 1600 x 1200).
• A driver is not necessary, because the signal conversion between the digital signal on the
display port and the analogue VGA signal takes place via the hardware.

Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
