Network extension
via coaxial cable
Item no. 800914
Intended use
The product is used to establish a network connection via a coaxial cable. Hence, an already
existing coaxial cable can be used for the operation of a network or of corresponding network
devices without having to lay a new cable.
The transceiver supports PoE. A suitable power adapter is not included and must be purchased
separately.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves
the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or
converted!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Connection
The manufacturer's operating instructions contain an illustration of a possible connection be-
tween the transceivers, two end devices and the network.
One of the transceivers must be connected to the existing network using a 1:1 wired network
cable (e.g. with a switch or router).
Furthermore, a suitable power adapter has to be connected to the transceiver which provides
the voltage/power for PoE (48 V/DC, output power depends on the devices connected).
The other transceivers must be connected to the terminal devices via RJ45 connector such as
a network camera, an access point, etc. If you use PoE-compatible end devices, the transceiv-
ers will provide the required power for the operation of these devices.
Connect the transceivers using the coaxial cable. For the operation of two end devices a BNC-
T adapter piece is enclosed in the package. In this case, you will need additional BNC cables
to connect the transceivers to the BNC-T adapter piece. These are available as accessories.
In this way, you can operate a total of up to four end devices (for each end device
one transceiver is required).
The arrangement of the BNC-T adaptor piece is insignificant. However, open ends
or branches are not permitted! Please also avoid terminations.
During start-up, the transceivers recognise each other. Hence, a configuration is not required.
For specific applications the transceivers can be "joined" with one another or "un-joined". For
more information please refer to the manufacturer's English operating instructions.

A = End device 1
B = End device 2
C = Connection to switch/router
D = External power adapter (48 V/DC, output dependent upon the connected devices)
The power LED lights up if there is voltage/power supply via a power adapter. The BNC LED
lights up if there is a data connection via the BNC cable. The PoE LED lights up with an existing
PoE connection.
For a permanent installation of the transceiver, the housing provides the corresponding open-
ings. However, you can also use double-sided adhesive tape or cable ties for the attachment.
