Intended Use
The microphone is intended to convert acoustic signals (sound waves) into electrical
signals.
The low-level audio output may only be connected to suitable microphone inputs of
audio devices.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose the device to
damp, e.g. in bathrooms etc.
Any other use than that described above, could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The

• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product
is not permitted.
• When connecting the microphone, pay attention to the safety instructions of the
device to which it is to be connected.
• Do not expose the microphone to high temperatures, strong vibrations or drips or
water spray.
• Do not leave the packaging material carelessly lying around since it may become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise
that are not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical
advisory service or another specialist.
Description of the Features
The microphones DM-250 and DM-518 are dynamic microphones and thus, require
no external power supply. Their area of application is universal.
They have the following features:
• Integrated ON/OFF switch
• Metal housing
• XLR connection and microphone cable with 6.3 mm jack plug

First Time Use
Only connect the product to suitable microphone inputs, to prevent
distortions or mismatching that might damage the microphone or any
connected audio equipment. For this, please consult the connection
details in the „Technical Data" section.
To connect the microphone, only use the enclosed or other shielded
microphone cable suitable for this purpose. The use of other cables
might cause interference.
Never point the microphone at the speakers in your loudspeakers,
since this may lead to interference, which could damage the loud-
speaker and the connected amplifier.
Connection
• Switch off the audio device to which the microphone is to be connected.
• Switch off the microphone, using the ON-OFF switch on the shaft (push
downwards).
• Plug the XLR connector on the microphone cable into the socket on the bottom of
the microphone.
• Plug the jack plug on the microphone cable into the microphone input socket on your
audio device. If the audio device has a different socket, please use a suitable adapter.
Use
• Switch on the microphone, using the ON-OFF switch on the shaft (push upwards).
• Switch on your audio device.
• Please adapt the sensitivity of your audio device by using the corresponding input
level control for the microphone (see the instructions for the audio device).
Disposal
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
