Operation

Before each use
Either the smooth side or ridged side of
the griddle can be used for grilling
food.
We recommend using the ridged side
for meat which has not been coated,
e.g. with breadcrumbs, and the smooth
side for all other types of food.
The lava rock container is not used
when grilling on the griddle. The grill
trough must always be filled with water
when using the griddle.

Before grilling:
^ Take off the rack or the griddle, lift up
the heating element, and take the
lava rock container out of the grill
trough.
^ Fill the grill trough up to marker line
a with approx. 2.5 litres of water.
^ Lower the heating element again,
and put the griddle over it with the
smooth or ridged side, as required,
facing upwards.
^ The grill can now be switched on.
