OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SPAS-3400/2 USB CHARGER
ITEM NO.: 1367640
INTENDED USE
This product is designed to charge and power up to two suitable USB devices. Power is
supplied via a normal household mains socket. The product is protected against overload and
short circuits.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you
use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
• Remove the product from the mains socket and the connected USB device when
you are not using it.
• The product generates heat during use. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation
and do not cover the product during use.
• Do not short-circuit the USB outputs.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. The power
adapter may also generate a fatal electric shock! Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This
may take several hours.
• The mains socket that the device is plugged into must be easily accessible.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never leave the product and the connected device unattended during use.
• Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to the public
supply. Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether the voltage stated on
the power adapter complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the product from the mains socket during storms.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or use, or if questions arise which are not

covered by these operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support
or another qualified specialist.
OPERATION
Always turn off the device that you want to connect before connecting it to the
USB port.
Ensure that the product is connected properly. If it is not connected properly,
it may become hot or cause an electrical shock or fire.
Ensure that your device is suitable for the connection ratings of the product
(see technical data).
You can charge or power two USB devices at the same time with the product. The steps
for connecting a single USB device are described below.
The output current is divided between both USB ports. For example, if a USB device
with a current consumption of 2000 mA is connected to one of the USB ports, the other
USB port may be connected to a USB device with a maximum current consumption of
1400 mA.
You can also connect a single USB device with a current consumption of 2400 mA to the
product. In this case, the other USB port may only be connected to a USB device with a
maximum current consumption of 1000 mA.
1. Turn off the USB device and connect it to the product.
2. Insert the product into a normal household mains socket.
The LED indicator turns blue to indicate that the product is ready for use.
3. The USB device will now charge. If you wish to use the USB device, you may now turn it on.
4. Turn off the USB device before removing the product from the mains socket.
5. Unplug the product from the mains socket after use.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions,
as these could damage the casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• You do not need to carry out maintenance work on the product. Under no circumstances
should you service any of the components in the interior of the product, therefore never open
it.
• Disconnect the product from the mains before cleaning.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Dust can be easily removed using a soft
and clean long-haired brush.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
