Intended use
This product is designed for shredding paper, CDs and credit cards. The separate collection container allows the separation of
shredded CDs from shredded paper and credit cards. Power is supplied via a standard mains socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz). The
product should only be used in dry indoor areas.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product for purposes
other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short
circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties
only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you do not
follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability
for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
• Do not reach into the feeder slot.
• Do not insert paper pin, staples or any other metal parts into the feeder slot.
• Keep long hair away from around the feeder slot.
• Keep ties, scarves, loose clothing and long necklaces or bracelets away from the feeder slot.
• Do not use spray bottles / cans in the immediate vicinity of the product.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains outlet before cleaning the product or storing it for a longer period.
• Do not operate the device for longer than two minutes to avoid overheating the motor.
• The product should not be connected immediately after it has been brought from an area of cold temperature
to an area of warm temperature. Condensed water might destroy the product. Wait until the product stabilising
to adapt to the new ambient temperature before use.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support
service or other technical personnel.

Operation
• Place the shredder on a level surface.
• Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.

a) Shredding paper
Do not insert more than 8 sheets of paper (size DIN A4 with a maximum grammage of 80 g/m
insertion slot.
Do not shred adhesive notes or paper with remains of adhesive.
• Slide the selector switch to the left into the "AUTO" position.
• Now, carefully insert the paper into the paper/credit card insertion slot. The paper will automatically be fed in and shredded.
• When finished, slide the selector switch to the central position "OFF".
b) Shredding credit cards
Shred only one credit card at a time.
• Slide the selector switch to the left into the "AUTO" position.
• Now, carefully insert a single credit card into the paper/credit card insertion slot. The credit card will be fed in and shredded.
• When finished, slide the selector switch to the central position "OFF".
c) Shredding CDs
Shred only one CD at a time.
• Attach the small collection container onto the retaining fixture within the collection container.
• Slide the selector switch to the right, into the "CD REV" position. The motor is now permanently turned on.
• Next, carefully insert a single CD into the CD insertion slot. The CD will be fed in and shredded.
• When finished, slide the selector switch to the central position "OFF".
d) Clearing paper jams
• Slide the selector switch to the right, into the "CD REV" position.
• The cutting unit will now run in the reverse direction and push the jammed paper out again.
• When finished, slide the selector switch to the central position "OFF".

Solution
Unplug the mains plug and empty
the container.
Slide the selector switch into the
"CD REV" position.
Ensure the paper is straight as it goes
into the insertion slot.
Fold, dry or flatten the paper.
Leave the device to cool down before
putting it into operation again.
