electrical appliance that can no longer be switched on or off

Disconnect the plug and/or remove the battery before
adjusting the device, changing accessory parts or putting it
away. This precaution prevents unintentional start-up of the
electrical appliance.
Keep unused electrical devices out of the reach of children.
Do not allow persons to use the device who are unfamiliar
with it or who have not read these instructions. Electrical
devices are dangerous if they are used by inexperienced
persons.
Take care of your electrical device. Check if moving parts
function properly and do not jam, if parts are broken or
damaged in such a way that the function of the electrical
device is impaired. Make sure damaged parts are repaired
before using the device. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained electrical equipment
