OPERATION
Checking a car battery and an alternator
1.
Connect the crocodile clip to the negative pole
of a battery.
2. Connect the measurement probe to the positive
probe of a battery.
3. Battery and alternator state will be indicated with
a LED light.
Note: alternator test must be conducted while an
engine is running.
Measurement range
Battery:
• Below 12,5 V - red indicator
• 12,5 V – 13 V – yellow indicator
• Above 13 V - green indicator
Alternator:
• Above 14 V - red indicator
• 13,5 V – 14 V – green indicator
Caution: information provided by this meter can be only
used as information and cannot be used as diagnosis.
Ready to charge
If a car battery is discharged, the device can
determine, if it is suitable for charging. If the ready to
charge indicator lights up after connecting the meter
to a car battery, it can be connected to a charger. If
no light is visible on the device, car battery is not
suitable for charging, or it is damaged.
