Important safety instructions

Attention: For protection against fire, electric shock and injury, all
applicable safety instructions must be observed when using power
tools.
1. Keep the workplace clean! Untidiness at the workplace is often
the cause of accidents.
2. Observe the environment! Do not expose power tools to the rain
or use in wet or damp atmospheres. Do not use power tools in the
vicinity of flammable liquids or gases.
3. Protection against electric shock! Avoid contact with earthed
objects (e. g. pipes, radiators, cookers, etc.).
4. Keep children away from the workplace! Keep visitors,
especially children away from the workplace and prevent contact with
the power tool and cord.
5. Store in a safe place! Tools which are not being used should be
stored in a dry place, out of the reach of children or locked away.
6. Do not overload the tool! The tools is only intended for the use
described in the operating instructions. Use for any other purpose can
result in accidents or damage.
7. Use the correct tool! Do not use the tool and accessories for any
work for which heavier duty tools are needed.
8. Wear suitable clothing! Wide clothing, long hair and jewellery
can get caught in moving parts.
9. Wear safety goggles! When working with the majority of power
tools, safety goggles should be worn (not normal spectacles).
10. Secure workpieces! Use a vice or clamping fixture.
11. Keep your balance! Never reach out too far and
keep a steady balance.
12. Work sensibly! Do not use power tools if you are tired or under
the influence of alcohol.
13. Avoid accidental operation! When carrying the tool, do not
place your finger on the switch.
14. Check the power tool for damage! Before starting work, check
the safety devices, rotating parts and power cord. In the event of
damage, the tool should be repaired only by an authorised dealer. Do
not use damaged tools.
15. Service tools carefully! Keep the tools clean and do not allow
them to become blunt. Keep tool handles dry, clean and free from oil
and grease.
16. Spare parts: For repairs and servicing, only use original spare
parts
17. Do not carry power tools by the power cord! Do not pull the
power plug out of the socket by the power cord! Keep the power
cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
18. Check the tool for correct mains voltage! Using a voltage
higher than that specified on the tool rating plate can result in serious
injury to the user and damage to the tool. Using a lower voltage can
damage the motor. If in doubt, first check the mains voltage.
19. Disconnect the power tool from the mains when not in use!
This also applies when changing accessories/tools.
