Safety Rules
Please read thoroughly these operating instructions prior to installation / fixing of the fire extinguisher in its place of destination and/or its initial
use. Please pass this information on to other users of this fire extinguisher.
•
If possible, all potential users of the fire extinguisher should be instructed on the correct use of fire extinguishers and be aware of the
risks involved in case of its misuse. Small children should be kept out of the reach of the fire extinguishers.
•
Make sure to use the fire extinguisher in accordance with the intended purpose and as on the printed nameplate.
•
Never expose persons to the jet of the extinguishing agent. Keep a distance of at least 1 metre, if the burning clothes of persons are
to be extinguished.
•
Have the fire extinguisher opened or repaired only by german federal aviation agency authorised maintenance companies.
•
Do only use extinguishing agents, propellants or spare parts which are conform with the approved equipment.
•
The vessel may be under pressure. Therefore make sure that no attempts are made to exert any external force or to open the fire
extinguisher by force.
•
Have damaged or corroded vessels or valves depressurised only by authorised persons.
•
Never modify the vessel by any welding or brazing work.
•
Keep the fire extinguisher clean and never use any corrosive cleaning agents.
•
Do not use the vessel for purposes than other those of a fire extinguisher.
•
Never expose the fire extinguisher to direct sun radiation or excessive heat.
•
Hand end-of-life fire extinguishers back to the manufacturer.
•
Fix the fire extinguishers designed for use in their appropriate brackets so that they cannot be damaged through vibrations or
manoeuvres or even fall out of their brackets.
•
Never hand the fire extinguishers over to third parties without the associated operating instructions.
•
Have the fire extinguishers periodically inspected by authorised person in compliance with the applicable statutory requirements.
