UVA-5 / UVA-6 / UV-8-KIT
The UVA-5 is a new multi-faced lens technology, which focuses the beams
from multiple light emitting diodes into a single spot at a given distance. This
magnifies your leak detection power, making it even easier to find leaks in
tight areas.
The UVA-5 battery powered lamp (3 batteries size AA) for UV-fluorescent leak
detection is compact and has an integrated power switch at the end of the
handle. Batteries-lifetime expectancy is a minimum of 6 hours. The LED-
heads for UV and white-light can be changed in a very fast way.
The UVA-6 includes also a flexible extended neck for long reach and two
additional LED-heads, one for white-light and one for UV-light
"MagniFocus
" which provide a small concentrated spotlight of about
TM
5 cm diameter at 300-350 mm distance. The "Standard UV" and white-light
versions provide a 16 cm diameter spot at 25 cm distance.
The UV-8-KIT includes UVA-6 a GLO GUN INJECTOR with ¼" SAE
connection, auto-coupler R134a connection as well as a Glo-LEAK-250.
General Safety Precautions
REFCO products have been specially designed and manufactured for use
by trained refrigeration and air-conditioning service engineers only. Because
of the high pressures and the chemical and physical gases used in
refrigeration systems, REFCO cannot be held responsible or liable for any
accidents, injuries or deaths arising from the use of their products.
REFCO explicitly states that their products must only be sold to
professionally-trained experts.
Wear protective glasses/spectacles
Wear gloves and cover other skin areas likely to be exposed for
extended periods
Do not stare at the light emitter
Do not point the lamp directly at another person

GLO GUN INJECTOR in UV-8-KIT
Instructions:
1. Open the reservoir by turning the cap & hose assembly anti-clockwise.
2. Turn the handle anti-clockwise to retract the piston. Fill the reservoir to
the base of the internal thread.
3. Replace the cap & hose assembly.
4. Thread the 1/4" anti-blowback valve onto the low side (suction) port of the
system to be leak checked.
5. Turn the handle clockwise to inject the desired amount into the system. See
the chart below for dosage guidance.
6. Operate the system to allow mixing and circulation of the Glo-Leak. Then,
using an UV light scan all the potential leak points for the yellow fluorescent
glow.
