Warnings

„ This product is always powered even when on standby and is used while connected to a
network (do not unplug the AC adapter or remove the fuse or breaker). If the power is cut or
normal communications fail, data for such a period will not be collected and the device will
not function normally.
„ Please understand that Panasonic will bear no responsibility of any kind for losses incurred
due to loss of communication arising, for example, from breakdowns, faults or incorrect
operation of the product.
Caution about Site of Use
„ This product is for indoor use only.
Do not use this product outdoors.
„ Radio transmission distances for the Home IoT Gateway and Temperature/Humidity Sensor
are approximately 100m, assuming a level, unobstructed line of sight.
„ Please test operation at the site of use in advance. The radio transmission should be checked
periodically, as the usage environment (radio environment) may change after installation.
„ We recommended that devices installed outdoors such as the Temperature/Humidity
Outdoor Sensor be installed at the same height as the Home IoT Gateway. We recommend
that there should be no more than one barrier between the devices such as steel-reinforced
concrete or glass wool insulation (radio signal may be insufficient due to the location of
furniture, even within the recommended range).
„ The radio transmission range will be reduced in the following usage environments due to
radio noise. In such a case, the device may not function.
z If a radio wave barrier such as metal or reinforced concrete is present between the
devices.
z If glass wool encased in aluminium is used as insulation in a wall between the devices.
z If the device is surrounded by metal (e.g. a steel cabinet).
z If the device is attached to a metal wall.
z If radio waves are blocked by the body of the person using the device.
z If a domestic appliance such as a microwave or computer or an OA device is within 2m.
z If a DC device such as a bell or motor is in use close to the device.
z If a mobile telephone is used close to the device.
z If a microwave base station is used close to the device (less than 10m).
z If there is a strong electric field from a nearby television or radio transmitter or radio mast.
