BATTERY INSTALLATION
The battery required for this machine is sold separately. The battery weight limitation for this machine is 1,475 lbs (669 kg). For proper battery installation, please
consult your Nilfisk-Advance Industrial Dealer. Be sure that battery tray is seated properly. Most battery installations require an overhead crane or forklift. Pay
particular attention to battery polarity. Connect the connector plug on the battery to the plug inside the Right Rear Access Door.
WARNING!
Battery weight in excess of 1,475 lbs (669 kg). may cause the premature failure of parts including the tires, and may result in decreased
stability and control, which could cause personal injury or death and/or property damage. Use of a battery in excess of the weight
limit will void the warranty.
IMPORTANT!
Follow instructions packed with the battery and charger before charging the battery. Read the instructions for Charging the Battery
in the Maintenance section of this manual.

INSTALLING THE SCRUB BRUSHES

Four scrub brushes are shipped with the machine. To install them, first raise the brush drive assembly (turn the Master Key Switch (30) ON, put the Scrub Brush
Switch (26) in the UP position, then turn the Master Key Switch (30) OFF). Slide the brushes under the mounting plates and lift them so that the lugs pass through
the slots in the holders. Lock the brushes in place by twisting them until they lock into place.
CAUTION!
Be sure to install the correct brushes for the job. Nilfisk-Advance will not be held responsible for any damage to floor surfaces.
Scarifier and Grinding Stone kits are available for use on this machine. See your Nilfisk-Advance Dealer for details.
CAUTION!
Use care when using scarifier discs and grinding stones. Nilfisk-Advance will not be held responsible for any damage to floor surfaces
caused by scarifiers or grinding stones.

FILLING THE SOLUTION TANK

Use the correct chemical for the job at hand. See your Authorized Nilfisk-Advance Dealer for types of cleaning chemicals and their applications.
Fill the solution tank with 60 gallons (227 liters) of clean water and the proper ratio of cleaning chemical. Mix powdered chemicals with water in a bucket before
putting them into the solution tank. Do not fill the tank over 3 inches (7.62 cm) from the top of the tank.
CAUTION!
Cleaning product must be low-sudsing and non-flammable.

ADJUSTING THE SOLUTION FLOW CONTROL VALVES

The two Solution Flow Control Valves (9) are adjustable to allow variable solution flow depending upon the type of floor to be scrubbed. A rough or absorbent
floor surface, such as unfinished cement, will require more solution flow than a smooth or finished floor surface.
To adjust the final solution flow to the Brushes (8) first turn the Master Key Switch (30) to the ON position, turn ON the Solution Switch (25) and push forward the
manual Solution Lever (22) and lower the brushes. Note: Start with the Solution Lever (22) about 1/3-1/2 open. Next press forward on the Drive Pedal (31) to
activate the solution solenoid valve this will start the solution flow. Then adjust the two Solution Flow Control Valves (9) so that cleaning solution is dispensed
evenly on both sides.
Note: Do not use too much solution, as it can affect sweeping effectiveness and pick-up performance.
