Placement
Prior to use, place/position the switch:
• O n a level surface that can support the weight of the switch (and any other items
that need to be considered);
• W ith a minimum of 25 mm (approx. 1") of clearance on the top and sides
for adequate ventilation;
• Away from electric-noise sources: radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers, etc.;
• Where it cannot be affected by excessive moisture.

The Intellinet 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch (561204) features port
isolation, also referred to as "Private VLAN". It isolates all ports
from each other and only allows access to the uplink port. This
is useful, for example, if a private VLAN is a hotel where each
room or apartment has a network port for Internet access. All
Operation
The switch operates as a standard Ethernet switch. All ports can
communicate with each other.
Ports 2 – 8 are isolated from each other, but do have access to port 1.

1. In addition, the connection speed of ports 2 – 8 is limited to 10
Mbps.
