BEFORE USING THIS TOOL
Before using the tool, make sure the mains voltage is
correct: it must be the same as that on the specifica-
tion label.
STARTING THE TOOL
Plug the machine in with the switch off.
Start the machine by turning the switch C to position 1
("ON"). To switch off, do the same in reverse.
MILLING HEAD INSTALLATION
WARNING! The mains cable must be removed from the
socket before any adjustments are made to the machine.
It is recommended that protective gloves be worn when
installing or removing milling heads.
WARNING! The milling heads that are employed must
be officially approved in accordance with the maximum
revolutions defined for the respective tools. The milling
head shaft diameter should match the inside diameter of
the tool-holder (locking clip).
To mount the milling head, insert the clip into the ma-
chine's clip-holder shaft, insert the milling head with the
shaft in the clip and turn the nut with a 17-mm spanner,
while holding the nut in place with a 13-mm spanner.
The milling head is dismounted by carrying out this
procedure in reverse order.
PRECAUTION: Do not tighten clip fixing nut D without a
milling head inserted into the clip.
DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
(Mod. FT1020-FT1050)
Once the power tool is fitted to the base and the router
bit is in place, loosen the regulator set-screw and raise
or lower the nut to achieve the desired depth, then
retighten the regulator set-screw to secure.
Guide for cutting laminate (T1050)
Router bits for cutting laminate without a ball bearing
pilot require the use of a routing guide that can be fitted
to Models FT1020 and FT1050.
Mount the guide at the bottom of the base in any pair
of holes. Use the screws included and make sure the
router bit is positioned at least 1.5 mm away from the
router guide to prevent damage.
The horizontal position of the guide determines how
much material is removed by the router bit. To adjust,
loosen the screw and turn the adjustment knob to
move the guide in or out. Tighten the adjustment
knob and make a test cut to check the position,
readjusting if necessary.
To make right-angle or bevelled cuts, align the tip of the
guide with the cutting edge of the router bit so you can
see the exact amount of material you wish to remove.
ACCESSORY FT1020
In order to use the copier bushing A, remove screws B
from support base E (Fig.2), attach the copier bushing A
(Fig.3), place the support base E and fix the bushing
using the screws B.
During use, it should be ensured that the milling head is
in the centre of the copy bushing in order to prevent any
personal injury or damages to the work-piece.
PRECAUTION: Do not tighten clip fixing nut D without a
milling head inserted into the clip.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
WARNING! Always unplug the machine before carrying
out work on it.
Warning! Type Y attachment. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to
avoid a hazard.
- Inspect the mounting screws: Regularly inspect all
the mounting screws and ensure they are firmly tight-
ened. Should any screw be loose, tighten it immediate-
ly. Failure to do so could put you at serious risk.
- Motor maintenance: Always take the greatest care
over this and make sure that the motor winding is not
damaged and does not become wet with oil or water.
- The vents should always be kept clean and free of
obstacles.
- Clean the machine thoroughly after each use. Blast the
motor regularly with compressed air.
- Check that the mains lead is in good condition. If it is
not, take it to an Official Service Centre to have it
replaced.
- Brush replacement: The brushes should be replaced
after 150 - 200 hours use or when they are less than
10 mm long. Have this done by an Official Service
Centre. We recommend that at every second change
of brushes, you take the machine to one of our Official
Service Centres for general cleaning and oiling.
- Use only Felisatti accessories and spares. Parts
the changing of which is not covered in this instruc-
tion manual, should be replaced in a Felisatti Offi-
cial Service Centre.

WARRANTY

See general warranty conditions printed on the at-
tached sheet.
NOISE AND VIBRATION
This tool has been designed and made to reduce noise
to a minimum. However, in spite of this, in certain
circumstances the maximum noise level in the place
of work could exceed 85 dBA. In this case, the oper-
ator should wear ear protection.
The machine's noise and vibration levels, measured in
compliance with EN60745-1, usually reach:
Acoustic pressure = 85 dB(A)
Sound-power level = 98 dB(A)
Use ear protection!
Vibration acceleration = 2.5 m/s
WARNING! The vibration level given in these instruc-
tions has been measured in accordance with a standard-
ized measurement procedure specified in EN60745 and
can be used to compare devices. Different uses of the
device give rise to different vibration levels and in many
cases they may exceed the values given in these in-
structions. It is easy to underestimate the vibration load
if the electrical power tool is used regularly in particular
circumstances.
Note: if you wish to make an accurate assessment of
the vibration loads experienced during a particular
period of working , you should also take into account the
