Inserting/replacing the batteries

• Remove the battery compartment cover on the underside by sliding it out backward.
• Insert 2 AAA/Micro batteries. Pay attention to the polarity markings inside the battery com-
partment.
• Close the battery compartment again.
A battery change is required when a LED on the scroll wheel flashes, the range
decreases sharply or the product stops working after being switched on.
Connecting the USB receiver
• Remove the USB receiver from the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse.
For transport or storage purposes, the USB receiver can be inserted into the cor-

to be switched off. The operating system will recognise the mouse as new hardware and

Operation

a) General information
• The product is equipped with a class 2 laser. Laser signs in different languages are included
in the package. If the sign on your mouse is not written in your local language, please attach
the corresponding sign to your mouse.
• Use the slide switch (11) on the underside of the mouse to switch it on ("ON") or off ("OFF").
When switched on, the LED on the scroll wheel lights up briefly.
• If the mouse is switched on and it is not used, the standby mode will be activated after ap-
prox. 20 seconds of inactivity to save power.
• After about 8 minutes of inactivity, the sleep mode will be activated. To reactivate the mouse,
press the left or right mouse button.
• If you are not going to use the mouse for a long time (for example, during transport or ex-
tended work breaks), switch off the mouse using the on/off switch on the underside ("OFF"
switch position = switched off) to save power and increase the battery life.
b) Mouse
• Place the mouse on a smooth, flat, sufficiently large surface.
The mouse's optical motion sensor does not work on all surfaces. Especially on
reflective surfaces or glass, the function may be limited. If the cursor does not move,
try placing the mouse on a suitable mouse pad.
• Briefly press the button on the left (2) to toggle between mouse mode and presenter mode.
• If the cursor doesn't move properly after you have used the mouse for a long period of time,
check whether the sensor on the bottom of the mouse is dirty. Clean it by blowing briefly on
the sensor or using a soft, clean brush.
• If the cursor in the operating system (for example, Windows) is moving too slow or too fast,
use your operating system's settings to configure the cursor speed.
c) Presenter

der no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the product.
• Switch off the mouse before each cleaning (set the slide switch on the underside to the
"OFF" position).
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solu-
tions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
