Read the complete user manual before carrying out the installation and activating the system.
1. DESCRIPTION
The 360° presence detector (24 Vdc) for flush mounting in a ceiling uses Passive Infrared Technology
(PIR) and is suitable for indoor lighting control, such as in offices, small office areas, offices divided into work
groups, storage rooms, corridors, exhibition rooms, meeting rooms, school buildings, production halls and
cafeterias.
2. INSTALLATION
2.1. Connection
Danger: Disconnect all power before installing the presence detector. Do not connect the device to the mains
voltage until installation has been completed.
Refer to the wiring diagram (fig. 1A).
For the parallel connection of presence detectors, refer to the second wiring diagram (fig. 1B).
2.2. Mounting
Tip: Do not install the presence detector in the vicinity of heat sources such as stoves or electric heaters,
ventilation systems or moving objects (e.g. mobile phones, etc.) (fig. 2). This can activate the device
unnecessarily because the device reacts to movement and heat in its environment.
The presence detector is suitable for installation in a ceiling (fig. 3):
• in a hole with a diameter of 57 to 63 mm, or
• in a ceiling box if the clamping spring has been removed.
3. SETTINGS
3.1. Factory settings
At delivery the parameters of the presence detector are set as follows:
Parameter
sensitivity of the motion sensor
indication LED for motion
3.2. DIP switches
Figure 4 shows how to set the DIP switches according to their application.

3.3. Indication LED for motion
Turn on DIP switch 1 and turn off DIP switch 2 to activate the indication LED for motion. The indication LED
remains illuminated as long as motion is detected.
3.4. Detection range
The presence detector is suitable for flush mounting in a ceiling. With indoor ceiling mounting at 2.5 m above
floor level, the presence detector has a detection angle of 360° and a detection range of 7 m (fig. 5).
4. OPERATION AND USE
4.1. Activating the system
The presence detector is ready for use after approximately one minute after connecting to the mains voltage
(stabilisation phase).
4.2. General operation
Depending on the type of controller connected, the presence detector switches on the lighting in the
room. When the presence detector no longer detects any motion within the detection range, the lighting is
automatically switched off after a preset time period.

5. MAINTENANCE

Dirt may prevent the presence detector from functioning properly. Therefore, always keep the lens clean and
dry. Use a damp cloth and water with some detergent to clean the lens. Never exert pressure to wipe the lens
clean. If the lens or other parts of the presence detector are defective, please contact an authorised installer.
