Intended use
The remote sensor is suitable for 12 V and 24 V on-board volt-
age. It allows for the monitoring of the ambient temperature
away from the operating panel (available cable length 4 m or
10 m).
The remote sensor must not be used in conjunction
with a direct switch.
If additional accessories are being used (8 – see Instructions
for Installation and Use provided with the heating system), the
multi-pin socket (7 – part no. 39010-78200) and, if required,
the 4 m extension (part no. 39010-78300) or 10 m extension
(part no. 39010-78400) is to be used.
Installation instructions
During the installation of the remote sensor, the supply
voltage of the heating system electronics must be dis-
connected. Simply switching off at the operating panel is not
sufficient. Installation under voltage may lead to the destruc-
tion of the remote sensor and the heating system electronics.
Ensure that the remote sensor is not located in too cool a
place (in a draught) or too warm a place (hot air outlet). A suit-
able position is, for example, a free wall at half the height of
the room.
1. Secure the remote sensor (1) with the cable clips (2) pro-
vided, as shown in the drawing (page 1).
2. Break a cable passage through at the electronics housing (3),
and connect the plug of the remote sensor (1) to the black ac-
cessory terminal strip (4).
3. The temperature sensor on the operating panel is then to be
deactivated as follows:
3.1 Standard surface-mounted operating panel (6 a) and
special operating panel (6 b)
Draw off the rotary button of the operating panel. Sever one
of the wire connections at the grey sensor contact, bend the
contact to the side, and push the rotary button back on again.
3.2 Installation of operating panel (6 c)
Draw off the jumper and attach it to an individual pin for
safekeeping.
A check on the function of the remote sensor and of the tem-
perature regulating system should be carried out by changing
the setting of the rotary switch.
