SAFETY MEASURES

Lire attentivement ces instructions et les conserver.
ARead these instructions carefully and keep for future reference.
Warning! To reduce the risk of accident, electrical shock or bodily injury when using power tools, it is recom-
mended to always observe basic safety precautions, including the following.
1) Keep your work space clean
A cluttered work space and/or workbench is a source of injury.
2) Be aware of your work space
Do not expose the tool to rain. Do not use the tool in moist areas.
Keep the work space well lit. Do not use this tool in areas where there may be a risk of fire or explosion.
3) Protect yourself against electrical shock
Avoid bodily contact with surfaces which are grounded (for example plumbing, radiators, counter top cooking ele-
ments, refrigerators).
4} Keep children at distance
Do not let spectators touch the tool or its power cord or even the extension cord. It is recommended that all spec-
tators be kept away from the working space.
5) Put tools away when not in use.
When the tools are not being used, they should be kept in dry places out of reach of children, either on high shel-
ves or under lock and key.
6) Do not force the tool
The tool will perform better and more safely when used in the tasks for which it was designed.
7) Use the right tool
Do not use lightweight tools or accessories to do work normally done with heavier tools. Do not use tools for jobs
they were not designed for; for example, do not use a circular saw to cut logs or branches.
8) Dress appropriately
Do not wear loose fitting clothing or jewellery which may become caught up in moving parts. Rubber gloves and
non-slip shoes are recommended for outside work. Wear protective head gear to control long hair.
9) Use protective eyewear
Also, use a dust mask in cutting operations which produce dust.
10) Attach dust evacuation equipment
If there is provision for attaching dust collection and removal equipment, insure that this is attached and used
correctly.
11) Do not damage the electrical cord
Never carry a power tool by its electrical cord and do not pull on the cord to unplug it.
Keep the cord away from heat sources, grease and cutting edges.
12) Steady the work piece
Use clamps or a vise to steady the work piece. This is safer than holding it in your hand.
