Switching on the
appliance
Rotate the temperature selector Fig. 2/B
from position 0". The appliance starts
refrigerating. Interior light is switched on
when the door is open.
Selecting the temperature
We recommend a medium setting of
+4 °C.
Perishable food should not be stored
warmer than +4 °C.
Rotate temperature selector, Fig. 2/B,
to a setting. Higher settings denote lower
temperatures in the refrigerator and
freezer compartments.
We recommend:
S for short term storage of food in the
freezer compartment: low setting
(energy saving mode, e.g. 1 2)
S for long term storage of food and for
freezing fresh food: medium setting
(e.g. 2 3)
S select a higher setting (e.g. 4 5) only
temporarily, if: high ambient
temperature, door opened frequently,
large amounts of food placed in the
refrigerator compartment.
Cooling capacity
The temperature in the refrigerator
compartment may rise temporarily if
loaded with fairly large amounts of food.
Therefore the temperature selector should
be rotated to a higher setting (e.g. setting
4) for 7 hours.
Operating tips
The refrigerator compartment
temperature drops temporarily:
S if large amounts of fresh food are frozen
in the freezer compartment.
The refrigerator compartment
temperature rises:
S if the appliance door is opened
frequently,
S if large quantities of food are placed
in the refrigerator compartment,
S if the ambient temperature is high.
Condensation droplets or frost in the
refrigerator compartment
While the refrigerating unit is running,
beads of condensation or hoarfrost
form at the back of the refrigerator
compartment. This is quite normal.
It is not necessary to wipe off the
condensation or frost. The rear panel
defrosts automatically. The condensation
runs into the drainage channel Fig. 3 and
then to the refrigerating unit where it
evaporates.
