90° cross-cuts and 90° rotary table
• Unlock the rotary table by slackening two lock screws
(10). Set the rotary table into 90° position. Re-tighten
two lock screws (10) to fi x the rotary table (8) in this
GB
position. If the rotary table is not fi xed properly, this can
result in serious personal injuries during operation.
• Place the workpiece fl at on the rotary table with one
edge securely against the fence (7). If the board is
warped, place the convex side against the fence and
clamp. If the concave edge of a board is placed against
the fence, the board could collapse on the blade at the
end of the cut, jamming the blade (Fig. 14-15).
• Press On/Off switch (3) and wait for the blade (5) to
reach its maximum speed.
• Press the release button (1) and lower the machine
head by its handle (2) smoothly and with slight pres-
sure down through the workpiece to make the cut.
• When the cut is completed, return the machine to its
top parking position and let go of the On/Off switch.
Caution! A return spring causes the machine head to
rise automatically at the end of the cut. Do not let go
of the handle (2) as soon as the cut is completed but
steady the machine head and allow it to rise slowly.
90° cross-cuts and 90-45° rotary table
• Unlock the rotary table by slackening two lock screws
(10). Turn the rotary table to required angle. Re-tighten
two lock screws (10) to fi x the rotary table (8) in this
position. If the rotary table is not fi xed properly, this can
result in serious personal injuries during operation.
• Then follow instructions from the previous section.
90-45° bevel cuts and 90° rotary table

• It is recommended to make a test cut in the scrap
wood fi rst. Adjustments of miter and bevel settings
are interdependent with one another. Each time you
adjust the miter setting you change the effect of the
bevel setting. Also, each time you adjust the bevel set-
ting you change the effect of the miter setting. It may
take several settings to obtain the desired cut. The fi rst
angle setting should be checked after setting the sec-
ond angle, since adjusting the second angle affects the
fi rst one.
Dust extraction system
When the machine is used in closed rooms, the emis-
3
sions of sawdust can be harmful. Beech and oak dusts
are especially detrimental to health and therefore may be
worked only with dust collector.
Always use supplementary dust extraction where pos-
sible.
MAINTENANCE
2 12
• Regularly clean the machine housing with a soft cloth,
preferably after each use. Keep the ventilation slots
free from dust and dirt. If the dirt does not come off
use a soft cloth moistened with soapy water. Never use
solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc.
These solvents may damage the plastic parts.
• The machine requires no additional lubrication.
• Repairs should only be carried out by qualifi ed persons
using original spare parts, otherwise this may result in
considerable danger to the user. Take your machine to
the SBM Group service center.
7
Always remove the plug from the mains socket
before making any adjustments or mainte-
nance, including changing the blade.
