Active Speaker System
These instructions are intended for operators without
any specific technical knowledge. Please read these
instructions carefully prior to operating the unit and
keep them for later reference. All operating elements
and connections de scribed can be found on the fold-
out page 3.

1 Output LINE OUT as an XLR jack for routing the
mixed signal e. g. to another active speaker system
2 Volume control MIC LEVEL for the microphone
input MIC IN (3)
3 Input MIC IN as an XLR jack for connecting a
microphone
4 MASTER LEVEL control for the overall volume
5 Input LINE IN as an XLR jack for connecting signal
sources with line level (e. g. mixer)
6 Input LINE IN as phono jacks; when both jacks are
connected (e. g. stereo signal from a CD player), a
sum signal (mono) will be created from the signals

11 Mains jack for connection to a socket (230 V~/
50 Hz) via the mains cable provided

Replace a fuse that has blown by one of the same
type only.

2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING
The unit uses dangerous mains voltage.
Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only; inexpert handling may result in
electric shock.

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).

Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the unit,
e. g. a drinking glass.

The heat generated inside the speaker system must
be dissipated by the cooling fins (8). Therefore, they
must not be covered. Never place the speaker sys-
tem directly on a wall; keep a corresponding distance.

3 Applications
This compact and lightweight active speaker system is
suited for general PA applications. It is provided with a
20 cm (8") bass speaker and a dynamic horn tweeter.

4 Setting Up and Connecting
Set up the speaker system on a solid surface, e. g. on

ence. The tweeters should be at ear level, if possible.
If a microphone is used, do not position the speaker
towards the microphone and keep a sufficient distance
to the microphone; otherwise acoustic feedback (loud
howling) may occur.

Do not operate the unit and immediately disconnect
the mains plug from the socket
1. if the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly installed
or operated, or if it is not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
