1 Make sure there is water in the tank
2 Turn the temperature control to

3 When the orange ready to steam
light goes out pull the material
slightly with one hand: hold the iron
upright with the other.
4 Tilt the iron forwards, then move it
down the material, pressing the
steam button.

Never steam clothes being worn.
Keep your hands away from the
steam and soleplate.

Always ensure that the iron is facing
away from the user and/or others
when vertical steaming.
G
For material other than linen or
cotton, hold the iron away from the
material to avoid burning it.

Always unplug and allow to cool
before cleaning or storing. Turn all
controls to the off position.
G
Empty the water tank.
G
When carrying the unit, always lift
from underneath, never place your
hands under the water tank as it
could lift off and always make sure
the iron is secure before moving.

Don't scratch the outside by ironing
anything hard eg zips.
G
To remove minor remains of material
stuck to the soleplate, rub
lengthways with a soft, damp, non-
metallic cleaning pad.

Wipe with a damp cloth.

Once or twice a year, clean the
boiler by removing the boiler cap
(read the safety instructions first) and
rinse out using tap or filtered water
only. Never use any chemical
descaling agents or vinegar as these
may damage your steam station.

safety reasons, be replaced by
KENWOOD or an authorised
KENWOOD repairer.
