Assembly instruction for engine oil pumps

Installation
▪ Before installing the new oil pump, check that the pump drive can easily be rotated by hand.
▪ The lubricating and drive system inside the engine must not be soiled or damaged.
▪ Replace the oil filter.
▪ Remove any remains of old oil pump seals from the seal faces and use a new seal ring. The use of liquid sealant is
not permitted.
▪ Wet or fill the new oil pump with clean motor oil (observe manufacturer's instructions!).
▪ Check the engine side oil pump drive and replace if necessary.
▪ Observe the proper positioning of the oil pump. Check the drilling holes and tighten the screws to the correct
tension in accordance with the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
▪ Make sure that the neck of the manifold (if this is not connected to the pump) is completely cleaned and free of
any damage. If necessary, this must be replaced.
▪ Fill the engine with new motor oil to the recommended fill level. Make sure that the oil complies with the
specifications of the vehicle manufacturer. In the case of dry-sump engines, the oil reservoir is to be filled.
▪ Failure to comply with installation instructions or the specifications of the vehicle manufacturer can result in
premature failure of the oil pump and ultimately damage to or even total failure of the engine.
▪ Never, under any circumstances, use an electric or pneumatic tool when installing your oil pump! Avoid the use of
force during installation and disassembly.
▪ Pay attention to leakage/unusual noises after installation of the oil pump. This would indicate further defects in the
interior of the engine.
