Operation

Intended Use

With the Westfalia-Touchless-Technology (W.T.T.) you can
measure the drill depth with a continuous ultrasonic signal
without touch. The unit is suitable for measuring a drill depth of
up to 250 mm with perpendicular holes in flat surfaces.

Unpacking the Drill Depth Gauge

Carefully unpack and inspect the drill depth gauge. Familiarise
yourself with all its features and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the depth gauge are present and in good
condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts
replaced before attempting to use this tool.
Before the first use remove the drill bit magazine as
described below and remove the insulating strap from the
battery compartment.
Mounting the Depth Gauge
Mount the drill depth gauge on your drill or impact drill instead of
the auxiliary handle. The drill depth gauge is intended for
machines with a 43 mm Euro Neck. An adapter for toothed necks
is included.
The digital display must face to the back side, facing the operator
of the drill. The display is equipped with Flip Technology and flips
according to the position of the drill depth gauge.

Inserting/replacing the Batteries

Inside the handle of the unit is the drill bit magazine (6). The drill
bit magazine also contains the battery compartment (7). Unscrew
the cap to get to the magazine. Insert three coin cells CR2032
into the battery compartment. The plus (+) poles of the batteries
must face the contacts, away from the drills.
Replace the batteries when the display starts flashing.
