1.Mounting and adjustment of the ther-
mostat
1.Montage und Einstellung des Ther-
mostatteiles
a. Screw off the protective cover of the
valve (save the protective cover, see para-
graph g).
b. Fasten the actuator @ on the valve and
ensure that the two internal lips fit on the
wrench flats of the 0-ring box @ .
c. Tighten the cap nut.
d. Fix the sensor @ in a place where it is
not affected by the heat from any radiator,
pipes, sunshine or draught from windows
or the like.
e. Fix the capillary tube to the wall with the
clips supplied.
f. Adjust to desired temperature using the
handwheel @ .
g. NOTE. If the radiator is to be removed,
the actuator should be replaced by a pro-
tective cap or manual handwheel (50
399
-
001)

2. Adjustment of the temperature range
To limit the temperature upwards or down-
wards:
Limiting upwards, read paragraph c.
Limiting downwards, read paragraph d.
a. The handwheel is set at the desired limi-
ting value, for example 7 on the scale.
b. Remove the handwheel without
changing the position of the adjusting ring.
c. Pull the pin out of the adjusting ring and
move it anti-clockwise towards the stop lug
on the holder

d. Pull the pin out of the adjusting ring and
move it clockwise towards the stop lug on
the holder

.
e. Press on the handwheel.
NOTE. The original positions of the
adjusting pins are marked by means of a
stamped ring midway between the pins.
To alter the set limits, use the 50 349-007
tool to press the pins
out.
3.Locking the handwheel
a. The handwheel is set to the desired tem-
perature.
b. Remove the handwheel without
changing the position of the adjusting ring.
c. Pull the two pins out of the adjusting ring
and press them tight on either side of the
stop lug of the holder.
d. Push on the handwheel.
e. The handwheel is now locked at the
desired temperature and cannot be altered
by unauthorized persons.

und darauf achten, daO die zwei inneren
Ansatze auf dem Sechskant der O-Ring-

c. Die Uberwurfmutter anziehen.
d. Den Geber @ an geeigneter Stelle be-
festigen, so daO er nicht durch Warme von
einem Heizkorper, von Rohren, von Son-
nenstrahlung oder durch Kaltlufteinfall von
Fenstern U. dgl. beeinflufit wird.
e. Das Kapillarrohr mittels der mitgeliefer-
ten Klammern an der Wand befestigen.
f. Mit dem Drehknopf den gewunschten
Wert einstellen @ .
g. BEACHTEN: Wenn ein Heizkorper ab-
montiert werden soll, das Regelteil durch
die Schutzkappe oder einen Handre-
gelknopf (50 399
-
001) ersetzen. (Gesch-
lossenes Thermostatventil offnet bei
sinkender Temperatur
-
dadurch entste-
hende Leckage kann Wasserschaden ve-
rursachen).
2. Begrenzung des Temperaturbereiches
Bei Maximal- oder Minimalbegrenzung
der Temperatur wie folgt verfahren:
Begrenzung max.: Punkt c.
Begrenzung min.: Punkt d.
a. Der Drehknopf ist auf den gewunschten
Begrenzungswert, zB. 7 auf der Skala,
eingestellt.
b. Den Drehknopf herausziehen, ohne die
Lage des Anschlagringes zu andern.
c. Den Stift aus dem Anschlagring heraus-
ziehen und im Gegenuhrzeigersinn zum
Anschlagansatz des Halters hin verset-
Zen
.
d. Den Stift aus dem Anschlagring heraus-
ziehen und im Uhrzeigersinn zum Anschla-
gansatz des Halters hin versetzen

.
e. Den Drehknopf festdrucken.
BEACHTEN: Die ursprunglichen Lagen der
Anschlagstifte sind
mit
einem gestempel-
ten Ring zwischen den Stiften markiert.
Fur Anderung der jeweiligen Begrenzung
Stifte mit Stiftwerzeug 50 349-007 heraus-
drucken.
3.Verriegelung des Drehknopfes
a. Der Drehknopf ist auf gewunschte Tem-
peratur eingestellt.
b. Den Drehknopf herauszid-ten, ohne die
Lage des Anschlagringes zu andern.
c. Die beiden Stifte aus dem Anschlagring
herausziehen und auf je einer Seite des
Anschlagansatzes des Halters festdruc-
ken.
d. Den Drehknopf festdrucken.
e. Der Drehknopf ist nun verriegelt.

a. Devisser et enlever le capuchon de pro-
tection du robinet et le mettre soigneuse-
ment de c6t6. Voir point g).
b. Placer la tte thermostatique @ sur le
robinet de faqon a ce que les deux butees
interieures s'adaptent dans les prises de
I'ecrou sur le robinet.

c. Serrer I'ecrou du thermostat.
d. Monter le detecteur

a un endroit re-
presentatif du local o il ne peut pas etre
directement influence par la chaleur du
radiateur, ni par les radiations solaires ou
par une autre source de chaleur ou de
froid.
e. Fixer le tube capillaire sur le mur a I'aide
des attaches prevues A cet effet.
f. Afficher la temperature desiree a I'aide
de la poignee graduee

g. Attention: En cas de demontage du
radiateur, la tete thermostatique doit etre
remplacee par le capuchon de protection
ou par une poignee de reglage manuelle
(50 399-001). En effet, des que la
temperature baisse, le robinet s'ouvrira et
laissera passer I'eau (risque d'inondation) .
2. Limitation de la plage de reglage de la
temperature
Le reglage du robinet peut s'effectuer com-
me suit:
Limitation maxi: point c(ci-dessous)
Limitation mini: point d (ci-dessous)
a. Exemple de limitation de la plage de
reglage sur la position 7.
b. Retirer la poignee en prenant soin de ne
pas changer la position du reglage choisi,
ici 7.
c. Sortir la goupille de limitation de son
logement et la deplacer dans le sens con-
traire des aiguilles d'une montre contre la
butee @ .
d. Sortir la goupille de limitation de son
logement et la deplacer dans le sens des
aiguilles d'une montre contre la butee @ .
e. Appliquer la poignee sur le detecteur.
Attention: L'emplacement initial des gou-
pilles de limitation est marque par un
cercle entre les goupilles.
Pour deplacer une goupille, utiliser I'outil
50 349
-
007.
3. Blocage de la position de reglage
a. Positionner la poignee sur le chiffre cor-
respondant a la temperature souhaitee.
b. Retirer
la
poignee en prenant soin de ne
pas changer la position du reglage.
c. Sortir les deux goupilles de blocage de
leur logement et les enfoncer de part et
d'autre de la butee.
d. Appliquer la poignee sur le detecteur.
e. La position de reglage est maintenant
bloquee.
