Use only batteries / rechargeables of the correct bat-
tery
size.
Charge a rechargeable battery before using it for the
first time. (Further information about this may be
found in the battery charger operating instructions.)
Do not remove the protective film from the batteries
until you are ready to use them. The zinc-air battery
then needs a few minutes to reach full power.
The positive side is always marked. You will recognise
the negative side by the ring let into it.
Always keep spare batteries / rechargeables to hand.

HANDLING THE BATTERIES
FADING BATTERY / RECHARGEABLE
Your hearing system specialist can program your hearing sys-
tem so that you are warned by an acoustic signal as the battery
charge / the rechargeable charge declines. Change the battery or
charge the rechargeable when you hear this acoustic signal or if
the amplification is decreasing.
INSERTING THE BATTERY / THE RECHARGEABLE
Open the battery compartment fully with
a finger nail (see illustration).
Insert the correct battery / rechargea-
ble. The plus sign on the battery faces
up (see illustration).
Close the battery compartment. If you
cannot close the battery compartment
easily, check that the battery / recharge-
able has been inserted properly. Please do
not use any force when closing the battery
compartment. The hearing system is ready
to use when the battery compartment is
fully closed.
