3. SEAT FUNCTIONS

3.1 Height adjustment

For adjusting the seat height to your individual
needs, please use the height adjustment lever
located under the seat on the right side. To release
the seat height adjuster, simply lift this lever. Now
the seat height is continuously adaptable to your
requirements. [9]

3.2 Seat tilt adjustment

For adjusting the seat tilt, please use the swing
function lever located under the seat on the left
side (when seated). The lever has three positions
to choose your individual tilt position:
Lever down: The swing function is released. You
can tilt the seat forward and backward within the
whole adjustment range.
Lever centered: The seat can be tilted forward and
backward from the centered locking position by
using the continuous swing function.
Lever up: The swing function is fixed in one of four
locking positions. [10]
Locking positions: Attack (front), Core Focus
(center), Core Relax (center/back) and Recharge (back)
Caution: Before releasing the swing function, shift
your weight forward to avoid an unintended move-
ment backwards.

3.3 Setting the swing function's spring tension

You can adjust the swing function's spring tension
by turning a knob located under the seat on the right
side (when seated).
Clockwise to increase the spring tension.
Counter-clockwise to reduce the spring tension.

3.4 Adjusting the backrest

There are knobs on both sides of the backrest for
continuous adjusting the backrest angle to your
individual needs. The backrest angle is limited in
backward direction to ensure adequate stability. [12]

3.5 Adjusting the armrests

To support your individual gaming position and to
relieve your arms, you can choose various armrest
adjustments. The RECARO Exo is equipped with
4D armrests, the RECARO Exo FX and the RECARO
Exo Platinum with 5D armrests.
3.5.1 Adjusting 4D armrests
1. You can adjust the width of the armrests by
un locking them with the clamps under the
seat shell. [13]
2. Under each armrest there is a button on the side
to release the height adjustment. [14]
3. By applying a little pressure on the armrest pad,
you can adjust the pad's depth. [15]
4. The pad can be rotated laterally in increments of
15° to the left and right by 30° in each direction.

3.5.2 Adjusting 5D armrests
Adjustment as described in chapter 3.5.1
in steps 1 to 3, illustrations 13 to 15, plus:
4. The armrest pad can also be rotated over the front
swivel by 360°. [17]
5. A knob is located under each armrest pad that
allows you to rotate the middle section of the arm-
rest by max. 60° inwards or 180° outwards. [18]
