AS103F Instructions
Note: Take care when separating rigging lines, so as not to tangle.
Before you begin rigging make sure lines hang free. If a line is
loose after a step is completed, run sliding adjusters up line to
tighten.
Stand
1. Place keel of boat in stand as illustrated.
Bowsprit
2. Remove the two eyelets (E1, E2) from the Bowsprit mid-
section. Slide Bowsprit through the two brass fittings on deck
at Bow. Align hole for eyelet (E1) with hole in forward brass
fitting and then replace eyelets (E1, E2).
3. Hook lines from sides of Bowsprit tip to port and
starboard eyelets (E3, E4).
4. Hook line from Bowsprit tip underside to eyelet (E5)
at hull front.
Mast & Boom
5. Insert Mast into Mast Step with Boom pointing toward Stern.
6. Hook 1st line at forward mid-section of Boom to
center aft deck eyelet (E6).
Hook 2nd line at mid-section of Boom to aft deck
Traveler Bar. Hook 3rd line to eyelet (E7) at Stern.
Gaff Sail
7. Raise Gaff Sail and insert gooseneck pin on top
spar into eyelet (E8) at Mast top.
8. Hook line from bottom corner of Gaff Sail to
eyelet (E9) on starboard deck near Mast Step.
Stays & Shrouds
9. Hook end of stay line from forward top of
Mast to Bowsprit tip eyelet (E10).
10. Locate the longer of two lines coming
from each side at Mast top. Run line
through indentation on tip of
Spreader bars at mid-mast, and
hook end to port and starboard
eyelets (E11, E12).
11. Hook the shorter lines
from Mast top sides to
port and starboard
eyelets (E13, E14).
12. Locate two
unattached Shroud
lines, which have a
pair of lines (with hooks on ends) that
hang from a central hook. Hang central
hooks to eyelets just below Spreaders at
mid-mast port and starboard sides. Hook ends of
port side lines to eyelets (E11, E13) and
starboard side lines to eyelets (E12, E14).
Main Sail
13. Hook end of short line connected to upper
Mast aft side to
eyelet (E15) at
middle of Main Sail
upper spar.

hook line from starboard side at mid-
mast to sail top eyelet.
Hook fore end of 1st Jib spar to
Bowsprit eyelet (E1), and line
from aft end of spar to fore
deck Traveler Bar.
2nd Jib
15. If top of 2nd Jib is not
already attached,
hook line from port
side at mid-mast to
sail top eyelet.
