Bestimmung und Gebrauch
Die Positionsschalter E 12 kommen überall dort zum Einsatz, wo be-
wegliche Teile an Maschinen und Anlagen positioniert, gesteuert und
überwacht werden müssen.
Befestigung / Anschluss
Den Positionsschalter auf einer ebene Fläche befestigen.
Hinweise
Der elektrische Anschluss darf nur von autorisiertem Fachpersonal
durchgeführt werden. Änderungen, die dem technischen Fortschritt
dienen, vorbehalten. Der Schalter darf nicht als mechanischer An-
schlag verwendet werden. Die Gebrauchslage ist beliebig. Umbauten
und Veränderungen am Schalter sind nicht gestattet. Es liegt im
Verantwortungsbereich des Herstellers einer Anlage oder Maschine,
die korrekte Gesamtfunktion sicherzustellen. steute übernimmt keine
Haftung für Empfehlungen, die durch diese Beschreibung gegeben
oder impliziert werden. Aufgrund dieser Beschreibung können keine

Wartung
Bei rauen Betriebsbedingungen empfehlen wir eine regelmäßige
Wartung mit folgenden Schritten:
1. Prüfen des Betätigers auf Leichtgängigkeit
2. Entfernen von Schmutzresten
3. Nachschmieren der Wellen oder Bolzen
4. Prüfen der Leitungseinführung und -anschlüsse

Destination and use
The position switch E 12 are used where moving parts of machines and
industrial plants have to be positioned, controlled and monitored.
Mounting / Wiring
The position switch should be mounted on an even surface.
Notices
The electrical connection may only be carried out by authorised per-
sonnel. Subject to technical modifications. Do not use the sensor as
mechanical endstop. Any mounting position is possible. Reconstruc-
tion and alterations at the switch are not allowed. The responsibility
taken by the manufacturer of a plant or machine implies to secure the

Maintenance
With rough conditions, we recommend routine maintenance
as follows:
1. Check actuator for easy operation.
2. Remove all dirt or particles.
3. Lubricate cam and roller shafts.
4. Check sealing of the cable or conduit connections.

Destination et emploi
Les interrupteurs de position série E 12 sont utilisés pour commander,
surveiller et positionner des organes mobiles sur machines et instal-
lations automatisées.
Montage / Raccordement
L'interrupteur de position est à fixer exclusivement sur des surfaces
planes.
Remarques
Seuls des électriciens compétents peuvent effectuer le raccordement
électrique. Sous réserve de modifications techniques. L'interrupteur
de position ne peut pas servir de butée mécanique. La position de
montage est indifférente. Le constructeur d'une machine ou installa-
tion doit garantir le bon fonctionnement de l'ensemble. Les caractéri-

Entretien
En cas de fonctionnement dans un environnement difficile, il est re-
commandé d'effectuer un entretien régulier qui consiste à:
1. Contrôler que l'organe de manoeuvre fonctionne librement.
2. Eliminer les salissures.
3. Graisser les axes ou tourillons.
4. Contrôler les entrées de câble et les raccordements.

cie uniforme.
Indicazioni
Il collegamento elettrico deve essere effettuato solo da personale au-
torizzato. Soggetta a modifiche tecniche. Non usare il sensore come
mezzo meccanico di arresto. Ogni posizione di montaggio è possibile.
