1.1 Markings on the device
This symbol indicates, that your device meets the
safety requirements of all applicable EU-directives.
Waste disposal and protection of the environment
Electric and electronic appliances as well as batteries
must not be disposed of together with domestic waste.
The user is legally obliged to return electric and electronic
appliances as well as batteries to specially set up public
collecting points or the sales outlet once they have rea-
ched the end of their service life. Details are regulated by
national law. The symbol on the product, the instructions
for use or the packaging refers to these provisions. The re-
cycling, the material-sensitive recycling or any other form
of recycling of waste equipment/ batteries is an important
contribution to the protection of our environment.

2. Important safety information

WARNING
Fire Hazard
Do not charge Li-Ion batteries that differ from the norm (battery
voltage less than 2.8V).
If you charge Li-Ion batteries that differ from the norm, the charger
can be damaged. A safe use of the charger cannot be guaranteed
anymore.
Do not charge NiMH & Ni-Cd batteries at the same time.
This product is only intended for charging Li-Ion and NiMH
batteries.
NOTICE
The dimensions of the Li-Ion battery have the following limitations:
The width of the Li-Ion battery must not be larger than 4 cm.
The distance between the two pins of the Li-Ion battery must be
larger than 3 mm.
WARNING
Do not charge Alkaline, Zinc-Chloride or Zinc-Carbon batteries.
Do not expose the device to rain or moisture.
Do not use the charger with an extension cord.
Do not use the charger if it has been exposed to a hard impact, has
fallen down or has been damaged.
WARNING
Risk of Electric Shock
Disconnect the charger from the power outlet before inserting
batteries and/or doing maintenance work
(clean only with a clean cloth).
