Die-heads fitting

Die-heads (VIRAX 1 1/2 '' and 2 '') supplied with the machine
Take the machine as shown on fig. 2 and fit the required die-head by making the two drive keys and
the die-head slots meet exactly.
Die-heads (VIRAX 1 1/2 '' and 2 '') already in the user's possession
Remove the spring as shown on fig. 3 before fitting the required die-head into the machine.
Important : Die-heads must be fitted exclusively from the reverser side.
Octagonal die-heads (VIRAX 1/8 '' to 1 1/4 ")
Fit the octagonal adapter supplied with the machine (fig. 4) from the side opposed to the reverser side,
overturn the machine and fit the die-head (fig. 5).

Threading

Always use the vice supplied with the threading machine. Clamp the vice on the pipe. The pipe must
extend from 100 mm min. to 180 mm max (fig. 6). Slide the machine on the (C) axis and fit the die-
head onto the pipe. At that time, make sure that the directional switch is in threading position. Start the
motor and help the machine at the beginning by pressing the die-head.
When threading, use the VIRAX oil (ref. 110200) which is especially formulated for this purpose.
At the end of the threading operation, when the motor has stopped, set the directional switch in "Return"
position and start the motor again in order to disengage the head.
