Replacing The Spool Box - Westfalia JD 9302 Bedienungsanleitung

Before undertaking any of these Operations, disconnect the Machine from
the Power Mains!
The spool carrier is permanently attached to the machine, but in the following
pictures it is shown removed for the sake of simplicity. Cover, spool, and spring
can be removed.
The mechanism of the thread spool
consists of the following components:
1. Snap-on Cover
2. Spool Box
3. Spring
4. Spool Carrier
To take out the spool box, remove
the cover. To do so, press the two
latches on both sides of the cover
and pull it off. After removing the
cover, take out the spool box with the
empty spool. Take care not to loose
the spring, which is now loose.
Now place the new spool box in the
snap-on cover and guide the ends of
the thread through the holes in the
sides of the cover (1).
Now attach the spool box and the
snap-on cover to the spool carrier (2)
and the spring. Make sure the
latches snap in place and securely
hold the cover. Finally, pull out the
thread to the approximate diameter
of the safety hood.
