Safety Notes

Make sure the power mains voltage corresponds to the operating voltage
stated on the type label.
Persons who are physically, sensorily, or mentally challenged are not allowed
to use the machine unless they are supervised or sufficiently instructed about
the handling of the machine by a person who is responsible for their safety.
Keep other persons out of the operating range and do not leave the machine
unattended.
Use the machine only for its intended purpose. It is intended for cutting grass
and weeds under bushes and along edges and embankments, which cannot
be reached with a lawnmower.
Do not use the lawn trimmer close to flammable liquids or gasses.
Use the machine only in daylight or in well-lit conditions.
Do not expose the machine to rain and avoid using it on wet grass.
Inspect the machine for damage before use and do not use it if it is damaged.
Use the machine only with the safety device (6) in place.
Hold the machine with both hands and only use the untended handles and
the intended extension rod.
Wear suitable work clothes and protective goggles,
gloves and hearing protection.
Make sure you have secure footing at all time and do not wear sandals or
shorts or use the machine barefoot. Wear solid shoes and long trousers.
Keep the cable out of the cutting range and do not expose it to oil, heat or
sharp edges.
Never carry the machine by the cable and always grasp the plug to unplug
the machine.
Do not use the power cable to pull the machine and make sure the power
cable cannot get caught when moving the machine.
Disconnect the machine from the power mains while you are not using it or
during cleaning or maintenance.
Use only suitable extension cords, which are intended for outdoor use.
