Insert the parallel guide (7) into the front rail
(28) with the measurement scale (22). Move
the parallel guide to the required position
and press the lock knob (12) down to lock it
in place.
Fitting the mitre guide
See fi gure 8.
Push the mitre guide (14) into the slot (21)
in the workbench. Loosen the wing nut (20).
Turn the mitre guide until the arrow points to
the required angle. Retighten the wing nut.
Dust extraction
See fi gure 2.
If necessary, connect a vacuum cleaner or
dust extraction device to the dust extractor
nozzle (16) on the saw.
Settings
Adjusting the cutting depth
Turn the handwheel (8) to raise or lower the
saw blade. The saw blade should protrude no
more than the height of one tooth over the
upper surface of the item to be cut.
When adjusting the cutting height, fi rst
lower the saw blade and then raise it to the
required height.
Adjusting the parallel guide
Use the parallel guide when you make a cut
along the item.
Lift the lock knob (12) on the parallel
guide and push the guide to the required
position. You can read the position on the
measurement scale (22). Press the lock knob
down to lock the parallel guide securely in
the selected position.
Note! The rail (23) must be at least 2 cm from
the saw blade.
Adjusting the length of the rail
See fi gure 9.
The rail (23) is adjustable in the longitudinal
direction in order to avoid the workpiece
being trapped. As a general guideline,
the rear edge of the rail should be at an
imaginary line 45° from the centre of the saw
blade and pointing obliquely backwards.
Loosen the wing nuts (26) and push the
rail forwards until the rear edge is lined up
with the imaginary line. Tighten wing nuts
securely.
Setting the mitre angle
Loosen the wing nuts (20) on the mitre guide
(14) and turn the guide until the arrow points
to the desired angle. Retighten the wing nut.
If necessary loosen the screws (C) and pull
the guide back so that it is further away from
the saw blade.
Setting the saw blade angle
See fi gure 14.
The angle of the saw blade can be freely
adjusted from 0 to 45 degrees.
Loosen the adjustment and lock knob (9)
and tilt it until the arrow is lined up with the
required angle on the scale. Retighten the
knob.
