If the apparatus is not intended to be used for a long time, remove the batteries
from the battery compartment.
If the batteries need changing, the LED's will blink when the apparatus is turned on.
To change the batteries (fig. 4):
open the battery compartment cover;
take out the old batteries;

insert the new batteries, observing the polarity;

close the battery compartment.
