USE
1. Measure the rice with the measuring cup supplied. Each
cup of uncooked rice usually gives 2 cups of cooked
rice. Never put less or more rice in the rice cooker than
indicated on the inside. The proportion of rice in relation
to the amount of water is crucial: it can never be lower
then the 1 cup mark, neither be higher then the 3 cup
mark. If the level is to low or to high, the rice cooker
won't work like it should. For instance: when the level is
to high, the rice cooker will boil over.
2. Wash the rice thoroughly. Use a separate container to
wash the rice to prevent the non-stick coating inside the
inner pan gets damaged.
3. Put the washed rice in the inner pan.
4. Add water to the level indicated on the graduation in
the inner pan that corresponds to the number of cups
of rice used. Smoothen the rice surface. For example, if
you use 3 cups of rice, add water up to the 3-cup level
indicated on the graduation. Note: The level indicated
in the inner pan is only an indication. You can adjust
the water level always to the type of rice used and to
your own preference. See table for examples under
instructions.
5. Place the inner pan in the rice cooker. Check that the
inner pan is in good contact with the heating plate. It is
possible that the inner pan still wobbles and/or floats a
little. This is part of the mechanism.
6. Ensure that the outside of the inner pan is dry and

clean. Also make sure that the heating plate and the
magnetic switch are free of food residues or other dirt.
7. Close the lid of the rice cooker and insert the plug into
the socket. Switch the on/off switch to on at the back of
the rice cooker. The cooking light goes on.
8. Press the control button down to start the cooking
process. To prevent steam from being lost and the
cooking time getting longer, we advise you not to open
the lid during cooking if this is not necessary. When the
cooking process is complete, the cooking light goes out
and the warming light goes automatically on.
9. Open the lid and stir in the rice with the supplied spatula
(avoid stirring with metal spoons or other hard objects
to prevent damage to the non-stick coating). Do this
just after the warm-up light has come on for the best
result. Close the lid then to use the keep warm function.
Stirring the rice can cause excess steam escape, which
loosens the rice. Leave the rice in the keep warm
function for a few minutes longer (follow the instructions
for use of the rice). After that the rice can be served.
