LAN Ethernet lines

Setting auto-negotiation and duplex mode

Using one, two, or up to four SHDSL lines (loop bonding) will provide a
single logical uplink connection. Multiple SHDSL lines used for one
connection also provide backup for each other should one or more of the lines
become disabled.
Establishing a loop bonded connection
1
Plug your SHDSL cables into DSL RJ-45 ports (any combination of
SHDSL ports) on the back of the device. The 4-port models use DSL
ports 1 through 4.
2
Verify all connections. The green DSL LED for each connected port will
be illuminated to indicate the connection is established and operational.
Establishing a single line connection
1
Plug your SHDSL cable into one of the DSL RJ-45 ports on the back of
the device.
2
Verify your connection. The green DSL LED corresponding to the
connected port will be illuminated to indicate the connection is
established and operational.
Connect the end-user lines into the LAN ports. The LAN Status LED (Left
LED on RJ-45) will illuminate to indicate that a connection has been made.
The LAN Rate LED (Right LED on RJ-45) will illuminate to indicate that the
link is running at 100 Mbps.
The 10/100 Ethernet ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex mode in
accordance to the capabilities of the remote equipment to which they are
connected. Ethernet speed and duplex mode configurations can not be set
directly.
For the best connection results, it is recommended to set the remote devices to
auto-negotiate speed and duplex. If the remote device can not be set for
auto-negotiate, speed may be set for either 10 or 100 Mbps, but the duplex
mode on the remote devices must be set to half duplex.
