High Frequency Adjustments
The Clarity HD™ Model One Monitors have a High Frequency (HF) level control on
the rear of the Master speaker (See fig. 2). This adjustment allows you to compensate
for the characteristics of your room. If the room is highly reflective you may want to
reduce the HF level to reduce brightness (elevated high tone response). If the room is
highly absorptive you may want to increase the HF level to increase brightness. The
best way to do this is select some music you are intimately familiar with that has a
lot of high frequency content and adjust the control while listening to create the best
overall balance in the room.
Once again, this guide is simply a way to get you started on finding optimal placement
of your Clarity HD Model One Monitors. But only through experimentation will you
find the best positioning for your particular space.
